Scarlett's POV

We sat in Starbucks for awhile talking and laughing and getting to know each other.

Colby was insanely sweet and funny and kind. Completely different from any other guys I had been around. It was a good different.

After Nate, I have never been able to be around guys in a one on one setting... He fucked me up to where I honestly don't ever want to love again.

But something about Colby ignited something in me that I couldn't recognize.

"You want to head back? It's getting dark." Colby asked gathering our trash and standing up from his seat

"Yeah sure thats fine. The girls are probably wondering where we are." I say getting up and helping him throw everything away

We start our trek back to the house laughing and walking in stride with each other.

Colby grabbed my hand and laced our elbows together to make sure we stayed together

"You know, I really enjoyed this.. thank you." I make us stop walking and stand in front of him and smile looking up

"Anytime! I enjoyed it too. We should do it again sometime.." he looks down at me and grins

We smile at each other for what feels like forever but a horn honks and pulls us away from our gaze. We had been standing in the middle of the road..

We chuckle and sprint to the house chasing one another.

"Colby!!! Put me down!!" I yell while laughing. Colby had picked me up and slung me over his shoulder

"Nope! Not happening! I'll put you down once we get to the house." He chuckles

I keep slapping his back and laughing the whole time.

Jaymie's POV
We had all been hanging out and having mini competitions. Spending time with these guys has been the time of my life. I hate that Scarlett's missing out.

We all stop and here the front door click shut and laughter coming from the front room.

Kenzi and I get up and come into the front room to see Scarlett hung over Colbys shoulder

"What might I ask is going on here?" I ask with a smile

"Nothing! Colbys just a bully" she looks at him and winks while smiling.

"No! You're just tiny so its fun picking you up since I'm so much bigger than you!" He bends down to Scarlett's height

"OH YEAH?!" Scarlett proceeds to chase Colby through the house

"GUYS!!! Help!! BigNiks sister is chasing me!!!!" Colby yells throughout the house and Corey and Sam run around the corner but Corey stops to laugh and catch his breath

"Oh you're gonna get it for that one!!" Scarlett finally caught up to him and tackled him onto the nearby LoveSac

What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?

Colby's POV

The last thing I felt was the soft material of the LoveSac engulf me. I turn around and notice Scarlett is basically still on top of me.

"I guess they werent kidding when Kenzi called you Dynamite. " i chuckle and notice I'm staring into her eyes.

She rolls off of me and gets up to adjust her shirt and hoodie then extends a hand for me to help me up.

I see Scarlett look at her phone then slide it back into her pocket

"Guys, we should probably get going. Its getting late. This was so much fun though." Scarlett says and I catch the slightest tone of disappointment in her voice.

" Well you all are welcome here anytime. Our home is your home whenever you want it to be." Corey says with his arm over Devyn's shoulder

Scarlett's POV
We start gathering our belongings and I walk over to Colby with my phone in my hands.

"Text me, Loser" I smile and wink at him

"I will" He takes my phone and texts his number so he will have my number to put into his phone

"Ill bring you your clothes back tomorrow. I'll wash them and stop by around lunch time if thats fine." I say motioning to the clothing he let me borrow

"Don't worry about it. Keep them. But you could still stop by tomorrow" he looks at me hopeful

"Alright.. fine I'll stop by tomorrow" I chuckle

Colby pulls me in for a hug and squeezes tightly.

"Don't be a stranger. We WILL get you to come on an overnight with us!" Elton said hugging me and then heading to the other girls

"You wish Elton." We all share a laugh and finish with our goodbyes. The girls and I leave out of the front door and hop in my car.

"So what happened?!?" Kenzi questions excitedly with Jaymie following bombarding me with questions

"Guys!!! Chill! Nothing happened. We talked, walked, and had coffee then we came back. No big deal" I scoffed putting my car in drive and pulling out of the gate.

It took us about 15 minutes to get back to our apartment. The girls get their stuff out of my car and step out into the parking garage.

"You coming Scarlett?" Jaymie asked slinging her bag over her shoulder

"Yeah just give me a minute I'll be up in a few." I smiled at my two best friends.

They both walked together to the elevator and I watched them until they walked into the opening doors.

My phone had vibrated under my leg on the way here. Once the girls were gone, I brought my phone out and looked at the new notification.

Colby..
all I could see when this message popped up were his piercing blue eyes..

His soft smile

The way his nose crinkled when he laughed

How protective he was already

How understanding and careful he was

I don't know what hes doing to me... but oddly enough.. I don't think I mind..

Hey everyone!! Sorry its been awhile since I updated. I was on vacation with my family . I really hope everyone is enjoying this story. Its gonna be getting good here soon!
