kim taehyung

taehyung woke up to his mother wailing, screaming his name.

"mom?! w-what's wrong?" taehyung jumped out of his bed, holding his broken mother in his arms.

"j-jimin! go to the tv, i can't say it!" jada cried sorrowfully, holding her head in her hands.

"jimin? what's wrong with jimin!" taehyung panicked, rushing towards to television.

and there it was. on the news. for everyone to see.

"park jimin, a teenage boy, was in a car accident with an intoxicated taxi driver last night. neither of the men made it out alive."

"no! this... this can't be true! this is all just a horrible nightmare, and i'll wake up in my boyfriends arms. right? i— i cant believe this," taehyung started to bawl, and threw the remote at the tv.

the news continued.

"it turns out the driver was the boys father."

"no.. no! just shut up!" taehyung turned off the television, collapsing onto the ground.

this wasn't supposed to happen. they were supposed to have a future together. they were supposed to stick by each other through everything. they were supposed to... love each other.

but taehyung— he can never tell jimin that he loved him.

"was jimin even real?" taehyung asked himself, wiping the tears from his eyes.

jimin was an angel. he came from nowhere, just to appear in taehyung's life. jimin has taught the younger so much, and has made him into the person he is. taehyung has never planned on helping jimin, but they both felt a strange connection towards each other. soulmate culture. if soulmates are supposed to stay with you forever, why are their last spoken words to you written on your wrist?

taehyung didn't want the answer. he just wanted jimin back.

but taehyung was grateful for the time he was able to spend with the older, even if that selfless boy didn't deserve this short of a life.

the mysterious boy who came into taehyung's life and left just as quickly, planted a seed. and now it was taehyung's responsibility to let it grow. let his love grow into a beautiful flower, that stands tall among the rest.

"thank you, jimin, for everything," taehyung cried softly, looking through all the sketches he's drawn of the older.

"i may have helped you, but you helped me more." a tear trickled down taehyung's face, falling onto the eye of the drawing.

taehyung glanced at his wrist, seeing those three deadly words.

"i love you."
