park jimin
before he knew it, he was running. the scent of smoke and drugs lingered in the air, and metal weapons dangled from the keychain's on their bag.
it was a dangerous place, and jimin knew that. but he was simply looking for someone he met today. he didn't know where to go, he needed help.
"ah shit," jimin mumbled to himself. "i don't even have their numbers." the only number he had on his tiny flip phone was his mother. and he did not want to call her.
so he just kept on running, hoping that whoever was chasing him would stop. a few moments later, he felt as if he couldn't run anymore. so he looked back for a moment. and right as he looked back he clashed into another student, papers and binders abruptly smacking against the floor.
"yah! what the fuck?" the victim cursed to himself, holding his injured chest.
"oh my goodness! i'm sososo sorry," jimin immediately apologized, picking up their things.
"jimin?" a deep voice questioned, yet jimin knew exactly who it was.
"taehyung? ah shit i promise i didn't mean t-."
"jimin," taehyung interrupted. "what are you doing at this part of the school?"
jimin tilted his head, but answered nonetheless. "i got l-lost when trying to find the exit. and then i caught some potheads smoking. t-they told m-me i couldn't live a d-day after s-seeing them." jimin was shaking uncontrollably, as he still feared that group.
"hey, hey, jimin, it's okay," taehyung took his items from jimin, and started to rub his arm gently. "do you take a bus? i'll walk you to the stop."
jimin shook his head. "i-i don't take a bus. b-but i don't know how t-to get home."
"did you move houses?" taehyung asked, generally curious.
"yeah... and cities. i'm from busan," jimin shyly said, afraid taehyung would judge him.
"oh, that explains a lot! i was wondering why you had that cute accent," taehyung giggled, smile turning into a box.
"you l-like my a-accent?" jimin thought he'd be bullied for it, so it caused him to gently smile when he heard that taehyung found it cute.
"yes! i have one myself," taehyung said, matter-of-factly. "now, show me your address. i'll walk you there."
"don't you have a bus to catch?" jimin questioned the younger.
"i'll just walk home today. i'm in no rush," taehyung replied, starting to walk to his locker.
"n-no!" jimin almost yelled to taehyung. "i'll manage. so no worries." and with that, jimin bolted off to an exit of their school.
••
jimin finally arrived home, a long hour later. his mother was worried at first, thinking he had gotten kidnapped, yet he had just gotten lost. she asked him why he didn't call her, him using the excuse "that slipped my mind". jimin's mother sighed, deciding that it was best to put him on a bus.
after the small chat with his mother, jimin ran upstairs to his room.
"i should've let taehyung walk me home," jimin sighed deeply, as he fell onto his bed. "that strange boy."
