kim taehyung
"jimin, guess what we're doing today!" it was yet another friday, and the poor boy was still staying at taehyung's.
"what?" jimin asked, not sure if he should be excited or not.
"you remember that resume i helped you write?" jimin nodded yes. "well i sent it to a dance company that was hiring and they want to see you!"
"s-see.. me?" jimin was lost for words. he could not believe that him, park jimin who is poor and got kicked out of his house, was asked to be seen by a dance company.
"yes you! now let's get going, we don't want to be late," taehyung said, pushing jimin off the bed and dragging him downstairs.
the two boys quickly threw on their winter garments before running out of the house.
"ah," jada stopped them before the door shut. "where you going?"
"bighit studios," taehyung answered, smiling to his mother before shutting the door.
••
after their fifteen minute walk, jimin and taehyung finally entered the studio.
"tae, where do we go?" jimin whispered, looking around the huge building.
"i don't know. let's just go to the receptionist," the younger replied, pushing jimin lightly so he'd move.
"hello, and who are you?" a young lady asked, pushing up her glasses before pulling out a pen and paper.
"this is park jimin. and i'm his friend kim taehyung. jimin is here because the boss of bighit wanted to see him." taehyung explained to the receptionist as she started to write notes.
"she'll be right with you two. just head to room 107, down the hallway to your left. and mr. park, change into dance wear," the receptionist, ms. choi, kindly smiled at the two boys as they headed their way.
"thanks, madam!" taehyung waved as he dragged a nervous jimin down the hall.
••
"jeez, jimin, calm your tits! it looks like you're about to have a panic attack!" taehyung said, throwing a water bottle to the elder.
"that's because i am!" jimin stressed, almost about to cry.
"stop being so dramatic." taehyung rolled his eyes as jimin pouted.
"you're not the one who has to make up a dance on the spot in front of your potential boss," the pink haired boy whisper-yelled, bouncing on the spot like a child.
"chim, you're going to be fine, don't sweat it," the younger gave a small pat on jimin's back before leaving the room so jimin could do his performance for mrs. lee.
"just breathe," jimin whisperd to himself, yet it was audible to taehyung's ear. the taller smiled sadly.
jimin can do this. he's going to do fine. taehyung kept repeating in his head.
the blue haired watched his friend dance through the window in the door. jimin wore black adidas pants paired with a white t-shirt. and when the music started to play, mrs lee and taehyung were shocked. the melody was slow, which had jimin stutter for a second. but after that second, the elder knew exactly what he was doing. the way he can turn a vibe into so much more, it was hypnotizing. taehyung could watch jimin dance all day and never get bored. he never knew how serious jimin took dance, but he seems to take it pretty seriously. the look on jimin's face when he's possessed by the rhythmic beats, it's breathtaking. a sight no one has ever seen before.
taehyung was no dance teacher, but he knows talent when he sees it. and jimin. he is talent. if mrs lee doesn't make jimin a part of this family, he's suing. with jimin here, he's sure the company would make triple the amount they're making from all the young girls signing up just to see the elder's pretty face.
even taehyung would pay to see jimin's face while dancing again.
before taehyung can blink, the music stops. it finished as soon as it started. now all you could hear were jimin's heaving breaths flooding the silent room. they were all nervous.
"so... mrs lee, did you like it?"
