"jimin! chim! buttbutt! wakey wakey!" taehyung shook the elder, spraying some water in his face.

"ughh, taehyung!" jimin whined. "why the fuck did you call me 'buttbutt'?"

"hmm i don't know. actually, i do know. i'm just not telling you," taehyung chuckled to himself, rolling out of bed.

taehyung was always too much of a morning person.

"anyways, we're going shopping so hurry," taehyung called to the half asleep boy, grabbing himself before running to the bathroom.

when taehyung came back, he noticed the clothes he put out for jimin were gone, and the boy was gone too.

"hm, he must've gone downstairs," taehyung whispered to himself, grabbing his phone before skipping down the stairs.

"morning, mom!" taehyung shared a smile to his mother, sitting at the counter which jimin was at.

"good morning," jada smiled to both of the boys, continuing to make breakfast.

"jimin and i are going to the mall. we'll be back after lunch," taehyung said, earning a nod from his mother.

"that's fine. don't get hurt," jada playfully winked at the sleepy jimin before sliding his plate of eggs.

"we won't!" taehyung sheepishly giggled.

it went quiet as the boys started to eat, but it was a comfortable silence. it was already starting to feel like home for jimin, and taehyung was happy to make a new friend. although their relationship was a bit wonky, it will soon be straightened out... hopefully.

"who's phone is that?" jada asked, more directed to taehyung.

after jimin understood what she had said, he took the flip phone to his hand to check who it was.

although there was an obvious answer.

his mother.

"are you not going to pick that up?" taehyung asked, finishing the last bit of his milk.

"no," jimin just slid the phone into his pocket, taking note to smash it later.

"oh... okay. well we're going to go now, ma," taehyung threw on a fake smile, grabbing jimin's hand to drag him to the front.

"don't worry about money," taehyung said, his hand still in the elders. "i've got plenty to share."
