Johnny Cade: Want to cuddle?

I did my hair up into a ponytail, and headed into the living room to look for my oldest brother Darry.
"Darry?" I called out, no response.
I called his name even louder, and looked around the house. Still no response.
"Damn he does not listen at all does he...?" I said to my self, thinking about that one time when I had a broken leg.
I gave up looking in the house and went outside to find Soda and Darry struggling to fix the truck.
Staying out of their way, I sat on the lawn and watched them, waiting for an opportunity to speak to my parental guardian.
"Okay good, now turn that knob that should do it" I heard Darry say.
"I don't know Darry, maybe we should get Steve, he knows more about cars than me and you." Soda responded.
"I know what I'm doing, trust me"
"Okay..." Soda said unsure.
I watched Soda twist a knob and Darry close the hood.
Soda climbed in the truck and started the engine. It ran good for a couple of seconds.
"See? What did I tell ya? I know what im-"
Then I heard something pop and black smoke coming from the hood.
Darry ran over and popped the hood open. There was smoke every where.
Soda quickly tried to turn of the engine.
After a couple unsuccessful tries he finally managed to get the keys out of the ignition.
Darry walked over to where I was sitting on the lawn, and fell on his back.
I looked at his face. It was all black.
I rolled onto my back laughing my face off.
Soda walked over to us and sat.
"I'm going to call Steve this evening."
I sat up.
"Wow you guys are really good at fixing cars." I pointed to the truck which was now halfway black.
"I thought you knew what you were doing" I mocked Darry. 
He rolled his eyes. I traced a frowny face on his cheek, and whipped my finger on his shirt.
Soda found this super funny and started to laugh his ass off, which made me laugh super hard too. Sodas laugh is really contagious, he can make anybody laugh.
Darry whipped his cheek, and put his hand on my face, which left a black hand print  that covered my entire face cause his hand is super big compared to my small face.
"Oh look were twins know" Darry chuckled.
I got frustrated and tried rubbing it off.
"Anyway Darry, can I go to the movies with my friends tonight?"
"I don't know can you?"
I hate when he did this.
"Well I need your permission" 
"Yeah, I guess you can. As long as your back as soon as the movie ends."
"Will do captain" I saluted him.
"Don't do that." Darry put my arm down.
"Why does it make you mad?" I saluted him again.
"No its embarrassing" he put it down once more.
I smiled. "Isn't that my job though?"
He laughed.
"No way" 
I was super happy me and Darry had a good relationship. He has been way better lately.

"Okay! Bye Darry" I called out before closing the door.
"What the hell did he do to this truck?" Steve asked Soda who was standing next to him.
Soda shook his head. "Dude, I don't even know"

As I walked to the lot to see Johnny I felt guilty about lying to Darry.
Once I saw Johnny, I gave him a really big hug.
Me and Johnny had been secretly dating for awhile, and the only one who knows is Pony. 
I sat down on the couch without saying anything.
"What's wrong?" Johnny asked. "You've been pretty quiet tonight"
"Nothing, its just," I started. "Don't you think the gang should know about this? We have been dating for awhile."
"I was actually thinking the same thing. But I think we should keep it to ourselves for a little while more, unless you want-"
"No, I think we should keep it to ourselves for a little while more too. I don't think I'm ready to tell Darry." I chuckled.
We both stared at the fire for awhile.
"Hey Johnny?"
"Yeah?"
"Want to cuddle?"
"You know I do"
I snuggled up into his side.
"This is why I love you Johnny cakes"
