Once Cleo could walk and fight normally again, she and April worked out a plan to fix the messed up secret.
You see, the secret is that Master Splinter hasn't given the boys 'The Talk' yet. The girls think that it's hilarious.
They keep telling themselves that they must get Master Splinter to hurry up and talk to them, for the sake of the dudes, since we know of at least three crushes. Maybe three. No! Wait! Four! Gah! (A/N Since I'm the author, I happen to know that that is not the reason. The reason is either they want to see the males' looks of horror, or the girls have crushes on the guys...;))
The April sat, face hidden under his sunglasses, in front of the tree in the dojo, planning to trap a rat.
When Master Splinter emerged from his room, he jumped, shocked that April was there. Knowing why she was there, he nervously looked from her to the door. He tried to make a fast getaway.
Cleo jumped down in front of him, from the rafters, before he could escape.
"Going somewhere?" She crossed her arms, her sunglasses flashing. The girls had made this moment as uncomfortable and as weird as possible. April looked like a gangster boss and Cleo was a thug. An exceptionally small thug at that.
"Mister Splinter, please have a seat." Said April, patting the floor in front of her.
Master Splinter gulped and sat down where she indicated. He knew this day would come ever since April got that awful information out of him.
Cleo stepped forward, looking over her sunglasses. "Is it true that you have not given the boys 'The Talk' yet?"
Master Splinter sighed. "Yes."
Cleo's eyes widened. She quickly covered them with her sunglasses. She had had the slightest feeling that April was wrong. Now, she felt guilty for doubting one of her best friends.
As Cleo moved back to her silent yet intimidating thug position, April asked "Why?"
Splinter looked down at the floor. "I'm not proud of the reason."
April nodded for him to continue.
"...I never dreamed that human girls could look past their appearances. I never knew that four of my sons would get crushes and two girls would like them back."
The girls were first shocked, then outraged, and finally, embarrassed the Sensei could see the emotions of people so easily.
"W-well you should give them 'The Talk'" stammered Cleo, "N-not saying that we like any of them. But it's obvious that Mikey likes me and the Donnie likes April!" She stopped to ponder who the Leo and Raph could like. She filed that away for later consideration.
"So much for silent and intimidating thug!" Said April. She blushed and glared at Cleo.
Master Splinter chuckled at the teens' behavior. He watched a dramatic real life teen turtle soap opera everyday. But when the girls glared at him, he cringed.
He got an idea. "I will tell the boys if either one of you can beat me in battle."
April looked at Cleo, concerned. If they didn't win, then April could never be with the turtle she liked! But Cleo had turned her head, hiding her face.
"Hagime!" Said Leo, oblivious as to why Master Splinter was battling two girl teens.
It was April's 28th try, but Splinter quickly defeated her.
April, frustrated, finally stopped to breathe. She looked at Cleo, panting.
"My turn?" Said Cleo, innocently.
