Melissa ^

Sunday afternoon I found myself outside of Ava's house. I didn't know if she would be okay with me randomly showing up, but after the night I had, all I wanted to do was lay in bed and relax, preferably with her next to me.
I climbed the stairs to the front porch, raising my fist to the door to knock, but suddenly it opened. Ava's sister stood in the doorway, her eyes wide. "Oh, i'm sorry I heard someone on the porch and I thought it was my friend"
"Nah, just me. Sorry to disappoint"
"It's okay! Jaxon, right?"
"Yes ma'am" I replied. "I was wondering if I could see Ava?"
"Of course" she side-stepped, allowing to me to come in. Their dog Luffy started barking, but as soon as I knelt down to pet him, he grew quiet, licking my hand.
"Ava's in her room" Melissa said, glancing outside. "End of the hall on the right."
"Thanks" I told her. I stood up, whistling for Luffy to follow.
Now, I know that knocking on a closed door is a curtesy. Don't get me wrong I do usually knock, however all I could think about was pulling Ava into my arms. I needed her.
I entered Ava's room to find her half naked, in the middle of pulling her shorts down. Granted her back was turned to me, but she glanced over her shoulder, her cheeks instantly turning a deep red.
"MARVEL? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" she screeched. She ripped a blanket off her bed and wrapped it around her torso.
I tried to hold it in, but a laugh escaped. "Sorry darlin', I didn't mean to intrude." I came up behind her, placing my hands on her waist. I laid my forehead against the top of her head, mumbling "I was bored, and I missed you"
"O-oh" she stuttered, her body tensing up underneath my touch. I turned Ava around, her long, full lashes batting as she gazed up at me
"If you'd like me to leave-"
"No!" she responded quickly. I smirked, her cheeks flooding with red again. "W-well I mean you're already here, you might as well stay. I just uh, have to finish getting dressed"
"You don't have to-"
"Don't even finish that sentence you perv" she grumbled. "Turn around."
I chuckled, letting her go. I faced the other way, petting Luffy in the meanwhile.
"Okay" she finally said. I turned around, leaping onto her bed. "Comfier than mine!" I declared "Not fair."
Ava shrugged "it was Melissa's old bed before she moved into this place."
I nodded, gazing around her room. The walls were white, but covered in picture frames and artwork. She had lavender curtains covering one large window, and there were twinkle lights lining the ceiling. On her dresser were more photos, as well as stacks of books and folded clothes. Next to her bed was a nightstand and on top were a lamp, earbuds, and a picture of young Ava and a boy. I knew instantly who the boy was from how similar he looked to Ava.
"So that's Nathan, huh?"
Ava slowly walked over, picking up the frame. "How could you tell" she smirked. "Was it the dark hair, tan skin, charming smile-"
"The stunning hazel eyes" I responded. She smiled softly, muttering a thank you.
"Scooch over bed hog" she giggled, crawling onto her bed. I moved to the left, moving my arm up so she could cuddle up next to me. When she settled in, I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her as close to me as possible. She handed me a remote, so I switched on her TV and put on Umbrella Academy.
