Chapter 47

-Jaxon's POV-

Saturday morning I woke up to "Everday" by Ariana Grande blasting from somewhere in my house. I smiled to myself. That could only mean my angel was here.

I dragged my tired ass to the bathroom to brush my teeth, then I pulled on a pair of black joggers. As I descended the staircase I noticed Ava standing in front of the closet by the front door. She was pulling shoes and jackets out, dusting the shelves, and humming along to her music.

"You must be quite the Ariana fan" Esther commented from the living room. She was dusting off the guitars on the walls, nodding her head to the beat of the song. Ava nodded, turning to look at Esther, however her eyes landed on me instead. Right on my abs, then down to the floor as red flooded her cheeks.

"Ari is my idol" she answered timidly, spinning back to the closet. I smirked, patiently waiting for Esther to leave the vicinity. Once she disappeared down the hall I grabbed ahold of Ava's waist, drawing her into me. I planted a kiss on her neck, trailing my fingers down her hips.

"What's got you so hot and bothered today?"

"It's nothing."

I spun her around, lifting her chin with my index finger "Nothing at all?"

"Y-yes" she stuttered, averting her eyes. So fucking cute.

"Liar" I kissed her forehead. I'm going to go on a run, i'll see you in a bit." As I passed by her to leave, I felt a tug on my hand. "Wait" Ava breathed. "I'm sorry about last night. I didn't mean to scare you."

I glanced over my shoulder, and she was biting her lip, her eyes mirroring regret.

"And I am sorry about being so persistent" she continued. "I'm just worried about you. You seem really on edge lately, and if there is anything you want to tell me, anything important, i'm here for you. I promise. I really care about you."

No words could describe how I felt in that moment. It was no declaration of love, but it meant more to me than she could know. I'd been told my whole life by the two people who should care about me the most that I was a fuck up. I could do no right in their eyes no matter how hard I tried. They gave no shits about my wellbeing, hell they still don't. To be cared for, and to actually hear it out loud, meant the world to me.

"Thank you" I murmured, wrapping my arms around her. "I promise I will explain everything someday, I just can't right now."

"That's alright, I understand." She smiled up at me, and I couldn't take it any longer. I rested my hand on the back of her head, bringing her closer. I pressed my lips on her, and I felt her wrap her arms around my neck. I could hear Esther's chatter with RJ in the other room, so I scooped Ava up bridal style, carrying her upstairs.

I brought Ava to my room and kicked the door closed behind us. I carefully laid her down on my bed, crawling in between her legs. I deepened our kiss, pushing my tongue against her plump lips. They slightly parted, her breathing growing heavy and fast. I had let her lead the past couple times, but this time my impatience was taking over.

I grabbed her wrists, pinning her arms above her head. I kissed down her neck and along her collarbone. Goosebumps sprang up all over Ava's skin and I smiled to myself, glad that I had an effect on her.

I continued my pursuit down her chest, causing her to gasp as my mouth landed in between her breasts. I used one hands to hold her wrists in place, using my right hand to tug the bottom of her shirt. She responded, arching her back and allowing me to slide the thin material up over her bra. I smirked to myself, noticing her bra clipped in the front. Quick and easy to undo, it's like she wore it on purpose. I glanced up at Ava and a deep blush spread across her entire face.
