Chapter 9: Error - 8757 Not Found

"Are you saying that you were built to love? Capable of loving a human?" tanong ng isa pang babaeng reporter.

"Uhmm. Let's not talk about romantic love. She was built to care for children, as a house companion...not a lover. What she is talking about is that she is capable of taking care of human things, without human interests. I mean...my goodness, she's a prototype," natatawang paliwanag naman ni Eric.

Tumango na lamang ang mga reporter. Tila naguluhan naman si Diana sa kanyang narinig, hindi niya masyadong maintindihan kung ano ang ibig sabihin ni Eric. Iba ang kanyang nararamdaman at program. Alam niya sa sarili niyang hindi iyon totoo ngunit ngumiti na lanag siya at humarap muli sa kanya.

"What we need is a real question that matters," muling sambit ni Eric. Tumingin siya sa kanyang mga ka-team. Sumenyas naman ng approve si Abby.

"Okay. Since Diana was created to help humans. Will she be available to the market? And when?" tanong ng isa pang reporter.

Tumingin naman si Diana sa reporter na iyon at ini-scan ang kanyang katauhan sa pamamagitan ng world wide web. Lumabas ang mga datos sa gilid ng kanyang screen. Tila nakalutang lamang ang lahat sa kanyang paningin.

"M-market?" bulong naman ni Diana sabay tingin sa reporter.

"That's a good question. Actually, Diana...being the first of her kind is not for sale. We are still running some tests to her. We would like to see how she would react in a home. If we succeed, maybe the other models will be available by next year," sagot ni Eric.

"According to Reinheart, Diana is a special prototype made to fit as a human companion to help us in our works. But will it replace humans when it comes to employment?" tanong ng isa pang babaeng reporter. Muli namang umalingawngaw ang mga bulungan.

"I'm afraid not. Diana has a special code, a fail safe. It was made by me and my team so she can adapt to humans but it cannot access the database of an information being an employee. So I think you can keep your job," sagot muli ni Eric. Nagtawanan naman ang lahat at nagpalakpakan.

"Very nice..." bulong naman ng CEO na si Howard Stein.

"Another question, for Diana. Is it possible for you to be a soldier? I mean for defense?" tanong ng isang reporter. Napatigil ang mga tawanan, ang iba ay nagtayuan at tumingin sa reporter na iyon.

"Anong ibig niyang sabihin?" tanong ni Alvin sa kanyang communicator.

"Hmm. That is interesting. Isn't it? Edwin?" Matalas ang tingin ng CEO sa kanya.

"W-what?" Hindi naman makapaniwala si Edwin sa tanong ng reporter na iyon.

"A soldier? like a super soldier?" tanong ni Diana sa reporter na iyon.

"Yes, would that be possible? I mean, the likes of you will be sold as a merchandise by next year. You will serve those who own you and bought you. What if the government used you as a soldier. Is that possible?" tanong muli ng reporter.
