Why wasn't he back yet? Breakfast has come and gone. Where was he? After an hour of waiting, I was done. I asked around as to where he might be. Most ignored me. Finally, I reached the Commander of this horrible excuse for a camp. "I don't know where he is." "No guesses, none at all?" I am not his keeper. Neither are you so leave me alone." "Give me something, anything and I'll leave." His disdain of me being here was painfully obvious. "His camp." "He has a camp?" He looked amused. "No one lives there." Of course because no one accepts him as anything other than low-born. What I said last night... I needed to leave soon. "Where is it?" I'd go and find him if need be. His smile turned cruel. "Straight that way." He pointed Northwest. "You'll have to walk around a few mountains. Don't get lost." He said the last line sarcastically.
I had left before lunch and it was almost dark. That Commander was probably dreaming of me being eaten by some beast. That's when I heard the faint booming of wings, then, "NESTA!" He was here, looking for me.  "Here," I yelled back. Minutes afterward he dived toward the ground. He landed gracefully, turned to look at me with an anger unparalleled, this was the General of the Illryian armies, this was a member of the Night Court. He simply walked to me, scooped me in his arms and took off. Flying back to camp.
