Days have passed and during their free time, Olivia and Everett would have discussions about their relationship. Olivia would suggest that they go forward with their relationship while Everett refuses. Or it would be the other way around where Olivia refuses and Everett insists.

They both knew they weren't ready to be in a relationship. Their friends would judge them. The family members that Olivia is still in contact with would judge their relationship.

Everett is older then her. They wouldn't want Olivia to be in a relationship with someone who's older than her. They would much rather have her be someone who's the same age as her or at least close.

They don't consider four and a half years to be close.

"How many times are we going to have this conversation?" Olivia asked.

"I have no idea," Everett said. "Let's just admit it: every single time we talk about our relationship, we never go anywhere. And that we weren't ready. Right?"

"Right," she admitted. "And we have the exact same reasoning."

"We're afraid of the repercussions of what might happen if we break up," Everett said.

"Yeah," she said. "We both don't want that."

"Liv, I'm crazy about you," Everett said. "My feelings for you hasn't changed one bit."

"Me neither," Olivia said.

"Should we give it a shot?" Everett said. "I really have a good feeling about us starting a relationship now."

"But what if -" Olivia started.

"No what ifs, Liv," Everett said, pulling her closer to him. "We both have feelings for each other. We can't just continue pretending that we can still be friends while having romantic feelings for each other."

Olivia took a deep breath.

"I know there were will be repercussions afterward, especially if we break up, which I highly doubt we will, but being with you, while working for the CIA, it's a risk I'm willing to take."

"Are you sure?" Olivia asked. "I care more about your job then mines. They need you more then me."

"Don't say that," Everett said. "They need you just as much as they need me. They need us both. And I'm a hundred percent sure that I want to be with you. Nothing is going to change my mind. I can't pretend that my feelings aren't getting stronger for you every day. And you can't deny that either."

"I can't," she agreed.

"Look, how about I take you out for dinner," Everett suggested. "It's going to be my treat. By the end of it, you decide you don't want to be with me, it's fine, I understand. If it goes well, let's go from there."

Olivia thought about it for a moment.

"Alright," Olivia finally said. "Let's go out for dinner."

Everett smiled.

Olivia enjoyed her date with Everett. She didn't regret agreeing to go out with him. There were countless times where he's telling her a story or he's just talking about anything, she'd notice little details about him. Details she never noticed before.

Just seeing how his eyes light up when he's talking about something he's passionate about.

By the end of the date, she made up her mind. She had already made up her mind from the very beginning. The date just further confirmed her decision.

"So, what's your final answer?" Everett asked when he took Olivia home. "Will you be my girlfriend or just stick to being friends?"

"My answer is yes," Olivia said. "I'll be your girlfriend."

Olivia smiled at Everett's surprise.

"Really?"

Olivia nodded with a smile on her face.

"When it comes to you, Everett Ross, I don't care of the repercussions."
