My head.

My bones.

My organs.

My...everything.

Peter's eyes opened slowly. He closed them again, momentarily blinded by the bright light of the room he was in. His sight later adjusted to the brightness, allowing him to take a look at his surroundings.

He sat up carefully, feeling every part of his body ache with every move. He wasn't expecting the Spider Slayers to put up that much of a fight, in fact he wasn't expecting any Spider Slayers at all. It's not everyday that you're on your way to confessing to your crush and get attacked by murderous machines specially designed to kill you.

But you know, that was just another day in the life of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Peter stared at the stained but comfy couch his butt was all too familiar with. He was confused at first, not sure how he got there to begin with but the feeling was soon forgotten as he considered the possibility of Wade being somewhere in the apartment.

He pushed himself up, groaning again after feeling his side hurt. He took one step forward, then another one, starting off slowly and with a bit of a limp before finally managing to walk normally. He hoped his body would be fully healed by tomorrow or college was going to be a nightmare.

"Deadpool?" He called, looking around for a tall figure in red and black leather.

Peter walked into the kitchen, only to find an open bag of Cheetos on top of the microwave, cheese puffs all over the place and a broken glass of water on the floor.

Deciding against paying much mind to the mess thinking it was no big deal he kept wandering around, in hopes Wade was indeed home and hadn't left before he woke up, which was probably the case anyway or else he would've already made an appearance.

"Wade?" He called again, a little louder this time before placing a hand on his side, feeling it burn. He looked down when he felt his spandex glove against bare flesh, noticing his side was indeed irritated and his suit ripped.

He groaned annoyed, fixing suits was so tedious.

He walked down the hall and looked into the bathroom, expecting to find no one since he'd already assumed Wade was gone. So he was surprised when he found him in grey sweatpants and a hoodie, hunched over with his hands tightly gripping the sink, his knuckles were white and he could see the veins in his hands popping out.

Peter frowned, not knowing what to make of the scene. "Wade?"

He noticed his shoulders tense as soon as he heard his voice. Wade slowly looked back at him, with his mask on and expressionless lenses. "Webs..." He said softly, there was something different in his voice. What was that? Peter wasn't sure. "You're awake." He said before looking away.

Peter took a moment to try and analyze his posture. "Is...is everything okay?" He asked, disturbed at the mercenary's out of character behavior.

He heard Wade take a very deep breath. "Yeah." He replied sounding like he was struggling to speak, before pushing himself off the sink. "Yeah!" He sighed, turning around to face the arachnid, a smile was visible through the mask. "Sorry, everything's okay."

Peter couldn't say he was convinced. "Are you-"

"Starving? Ya bet your nice little butt I am." Wade walked out the bathroom and past Spider-Man without another word, leaving the hero puzzled at the sudden mood swing. He watched as the mercenary rushed down the hall and into the kitchen before following him with hesitant steps.
