That night I snuck into the house, cautiously trying not to wake anyone in the house and luckily I managed it. I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep almost straight away. The unusual creature was the only thing on my mind. Silently, I hoped that I would be able to see the creature again. Something about the creature seemed magical and charming.
Something about the creature seemed enchanting.

The next morning, my phone alarm buzzed to alert me that it was time to get up for college. Lazily, I dragged my body out of my warm bed and proceeded to get up and ready for the day. Downstairs, I entered the neutrally coloured kitchen and put some bread in the toaster. I noticed someone sat in the chair beside the sofa, in front of the TV, which was unusual because normally no one was up at this time in the morning.
"Where were you last night?" His icy cold voice echoed through the room causing shivers to run straight through to my very bones. I gulped, fear ran through my veins as my heart began to pound in my chest.
"I was studying at the library," I muttered quietly.
"You know the rules," he continued as he stood up and turned to face me. He towered over me, his dark brown eyes appearing to be almost black.
"I lost track of time," I blurted, the words rushing from my mouth in panic and fear.
"I don't care if you lost track of time! You know the rules!" He shouted angrily.

That evening, I rushed straight to the ocean and waited for the creature to return but it didn't. I returned home and waited until everyone had gone to bed before I grabbed my tail again and returned to the ocean where I sat and waited again.
Suddenly, as I began to lose hope, the creature returned and smiled to me. Gently, it moved my hair away from my right eye and released a blood curdling noise. Anger could be seen boiling inside of the creature as it stared at my bruised eye and cheek.
"Its fine, I'm fine," I comforted.
