"Every day
You walk with stronger step,
You walk with longer step.
The worst is over." Odette encouraged, taking Marius inside his house, "Don't think about it, Marius!
With all the years ahead of us!
I will never go away
And we will be together
Every day.
Every day
We'll remember that night
And the vow that we made."

Finally, after going days without looking at Odette, Marius' eyes met with her's and it felt no different to that day after church. Caressing his cheek softly with her left thumb, Odette cupped his face and smiled.

"A heart full of love
A night full of you
The words are old
But always true." Odette whispered, her right hand cupping Marius' face too.

"She was never mine to keep
She is youthful, she is free..." Valjean mumbled, stepping into he house, Cosette by his side.

"Odette, Odette!" Marius exclaimed.

"I saw you waiting and I knew -" Odette revealed, beaming that Marius was getting better.

"Thank God, thank God you are here
Thank God, thank God you are home!" Monsieur Gillenormand cried.

Marius clearly hadn't told him that he had left.

"Waiting for you!
At your feet!" Marius stated.

"At your call!" Odette chimed, running her hand through the back of Marius' hair.

"Love is the garden of the young
Let it be
Let it be!
A heart full of love
This I give you this day." Valjean, Monsieur Gillenormand and Cosette exclaimed, most of them very content with Odette and Marius.

"And it wasn't a dream
Not a dream after all." Odette harmonised with Marius.

Allowing Marius to catch his breath, Odette waited for him on the bottom step, before helping him up past Monsieur Gillenormand. It took minutes for him to finally reach his room, but she didn't care because Marius was safe. She could hold his hand and kiss it, kiss him. And it was like she dreamed. The kisses were always soft and always true. Gentle and meaningful, never dull or lustful.

Odette spent the next few days tending to Marius and even single day he was getting better, and stronger. But after time, it seemed like Marius was hiding something from her. And it seemed like Cosette knew what it was. Every time she was near Odette, she would get giddy, play with her own hair and shuffle in her seat. Odette couldn't place a finger on why Cosette was so giddy.

"Calm yourself Mademoiselle, you're working yourself up." Odette sighed, braiding Cosette's pale blonde hair.

"I'm perfectly calm Odette." Cosette smiled.

"Sure." Odette laughed, tying the braid at the end.

After painting Cosette's nails a nude pink colour, Odette dismissed herself. Picking up her golden skirt, Odette looked down at herself and immediately missed her blue dress because she couldn't trip over it. Her formal one was far to long and the humidity of the air made the jacket unbearable so she just went without. Golden material in hand, Odette climbed the wooden stairs leading up to Marius' room. Knocking gently on the door, Odette waited for her love to allow her enterance. Cautiously opening the door, Odette peered inside to see Marius sat in an armchair.
