Training is going well the last few days have been tiring but it's been great to know just how far I can push my body. I was always quick and not a bad fighter but with the extra muscle and reach I can do a lot more now.
In the morning's we train in defence and fighting then in the afternoons I learn the practical sides of being an alpha. Looking into the accounts and the running of a large pack has been something new.
I've helped them build an app with Orion that allows all pack members to keep in touch with one another and put in their vacation times and other appointments or events. Orion really understands the logistics. Where I know what the pack needs to help them in their day to day lives.
In the early evenings I've been working on the game to help young pups. I showed May and Orion the demo and they think it will be a great help. May thought I'd be able to change it to help in any event that young children might find hard to adjust to. Like first day at school going to the dentist things like that.
School starts in three days time. May believes my emotions shouldn't get the better of me as I seem to have adapted really well to my alpha genes. Orion and I are mated and bonded. We each have the others mark. On each of our shoulder's is two rings intertwined looking like two linked wedding bands.
Daisy and Dom are mated and their mark looks like a vine weaved together. I take my road test tomorrow I was going to take it in Orion's car but May said the instructor would fail me before I even started. So, she loaning me her truck instead.
May and I are walking back to the pack house so we can have a shower and lunch before my afternoon session starts. An older woman walks up to us
"May, I can't reach Oz he said him and his friends where going to go to the swim hole. He was meant to be back as he had an interview for a part time job" a pack member says
"It's okay Jackie, I'll call patrol and see if they've seen them" May assures.
May grabs my arm and lets the woman walk back to the pack house. "'I've got a bad feeling about this" she says as she pulls her phone from her pocket and makes a call.
"Stewart have you seen the kids at the swimming hole?" she asks.
"What? Have you tracked them?" she listens
"I'll call the others and meet you there" May closes her eyes 'all warriors report to the clearing now' I hear through the mind link.
We turn back and make our way to the clearing strip put our clothes in bags that hang from the trees and shift.
'Stay close to Orion' May mind links me.
'Sure thing' I turn as I hear paws running towards the clearing about twenty wolves come into the clearing.
'My fellow pack, some of our kids have gone from the swimming hole. Stewart has tracked them to the base of the mountain where he believes hunters have them. I want them back safe and with their families before night fall. Stay alert and follow the drill.'
With those words from May we move out. We fan out and as we run, we sniff the air. I catch the first scent of the pups and then the hunters.
'Can you smell them' I mind link Orion
'Yeah, about five of them. I think they would have had others in trees as look out' he answers.
As we get closer to the mountain the scent gets stronger.
'Three in the trees to the left' I hear through the link.
Orion and I move to out left and slow down.
