As they stepped through the portal they entered a room with large windows and beautiful gardens could be seen outside of them." You know when you said demon realm I kind of expected...you know, red skies, slaves in chains and screaming in the distance." Stephanie murmured walking towards one of the windows.

Ash rolled her eyes." No, that stuff isn't real, at least not the red skies thing." she said bluntly," My sister and brother will gladly show you their torture chambers if you ask nicely." Her voice was unnervingly calm as she said this to her friend, Stephanie nodded and went silent taking in the beautifully decorated room, drapes of silver, red and gold hung almost everywhere.

She turned towards the gardens as well looking at the many flowers outside. Her personal favourites were the purple roses, the golden sunflowers, and the wild rosemary. The demon witch had tended to the entire garden growing up and still took care of it when she had the time. She turned to Trina and Neev," You can shift if you want. You'll look less out of place." She hummed her own disguise melting off her to reveal short crimson hair, black markings across pale green skin and glowing red eyes.
Her horns were black and sharp, her green tail curving above the floor.

Neev nodded and removed his glamour but Trina hesitated." T, what's wrong?" Raine asked settling into one of the many couches in the room. Trina took a deep breath giving her brother a nervous look.

Neev nodded his head and dragged a whining Stephanie out of the room, following a servant that would lead them to the guest rooms to unpack and settle in.

"Raine...if I remove my glamour you'll realize something...something I'm not sure why you have..." Raine nodded for her to continue." It's called a mating bond-"
" Both witches and demons have a mating bond as well." Raine cut her off.
Trina nodded," So I'm not mistaken?" She didn't know this...it couldn't be possible. It didn't seem right but demons didn't have mates yet her soul longed for Raine.
The redhead looked confused, so Trina came over to her taking her hand.

" Raine, I think we are mates..." She stammered her cheeks ablaze and she couldn't meet Raine's eyes.
"Why do you think that?" Raine asked squeezing Trina's hand, she knew the answer but she wanted it from Trina.
"Just let me show you." She internally cringed at her shaking voice. She stepped back from Raine to remove her glamour.

Raine stared at Trina as she turned into her fae form. Her long blonde hair remained the same, her fern-green eyes took on an immortal glow, her canines lengthened and her ears became pointed. Without her glamor, her immortal beauty would be too much for a mortal so she still had a bit of glamour on.
When Trina meet her eyes she heard her breath hitch. She was right with both of them in their normal forms the mating bond is unmistakable for Trina." You're my mate" Trina whispered not thinking she would have ever said those words. Raine nodded walking up to her, not taking those red orbs off of her. Raine hoped Trina felt the way one would feel when their mate is found.

Raine stood up looking up at her best friend, who grabbed the half breed into a fierce hug." Raine Dark, will you be my mate? Will you stay my side no matter what?" Trina asked only pulling away enough to meet her eyes.
Raine swallowed, she already knew the answer, she'd practised more than once." Yes, I will be your mate." She stammered tears of joy already choking her.

Then her mouth was hers before she could blink. She held her tight and they only parted once they needed air. She gave the demon a wicked grin." Guess we're roommates now." The mischief in her green eyes made her mates cheeks heat.

Raine shoved her away laughing." I guess I do. That means we have to make a chore chart now..."
Trina snorted and pounced on her snatching another kiss. She made to pull away but the demon wrapped her arms around her.

"I'm gonna be sick if you go any further." Stephanie snapped, her purple eyes were filled with disgust. She hated every part of this and she would not hide it. Her eyes remained narrow as she walked in a scowling Neev just behind her, Trina was off Raine in a second and Neev gave her an apologetic shrug." So I take it you guys are mates now?" Stephanie asked.
"Yeah although how do you know about that?" Raine asked looking at her in surprise, Trina mirrored her expression. Stephanie just gave them a smile that sent shivers down their spines.

Stephanie Philips P.O.V

Watching them mad me sick...It hurt but I was obviously mistaken. Maybe demons had mates as well.
I will tell them...eventually. If I don't then they'll find out, and I'm guessing it won't be fun for any of us. So I'll tell them...just not yet.

Raine Dark's P.O.V

My smile faded as a servant walked in followed by one of my generals. He bowed deeply," Princess, we found a fae that may know something." Anger flared in my chest." Let's go then." My tone was icy as I stormed out the room after General Safire.

Trina grabbed my hand before I could walk three feet." Should we come with?" She asked quietly.
" T, what I'm about to do...I can't let you see that right now. Once you're used to seeing people get tortured then you can help me."

She shook her head." No, I want to get used to it now." There wasn't much room for argument, plus she knew the fae body better than I did. " Very well, you can come with me. Stephanie, do you wanna watch me cut someone up till they talk?" Stephanie looked up and smirked," I would be honored." She purred. So we went to the dungeons and interrogation rooms.

Neev Sage P.O.V

I watched them go, unsure if I should join them. I decided that I would stay out of 'interrogation' I don't think I can stomach it. I will stay here for Trina's sake but I don't think I will join Raine if she's gonna torture every person we capture.

I head to my room that's opposite Stephanie's room. Her room is in different shades of black and silver. Mine is a mix of brown and white, I like the room it's big and the color scheme suits me I think.

I settle on the couch and pick up a book that I packed, trying not to think of what Raine and the others are currently doing.
