As I stroll down the hall, I see that demon again. I look at him talking to Raine and I feel a pang go through me as I dart back behind the pillar. Why am I hiding and hoping he sees me? Once Raine leaves he turns to walk away but turns around and smirks in my direction. I step out from behind the pillar feeling silly." Hi, Neev." He says walking up to me.
" Hey" I replied awkwardly walking over to the taller male."Wanna hang till I have to go to meetings?" I shrug but follow him when he starts walking.
" Where are we going?" His smile is his only answer, I end up rolling my eyes but he's sparked my curiosity. I don't like showy things like Stephanie or plain but beautiful things like Raine and Trina. No, I am interested in plain and simple, and what Greg shows me is just that, plain and simple, yet just as breathtaking.Stephanie Philips
I now practice magic with Raine and Trina, it's more fun than I initially thought. I teach Raine spell craft after magic practice and I must say she is a fast learner...a bit to fast, way to fast for someone who has 'never' done complicated magic. I didn't comment on it however.
I get knocked over by Trina as the earth splits beneath me, bringing me back to reality." You only won cause I was distracted." I mutter as she snickers and jumps with triumph, I knock her on her butt, having kicked her legs out from underneath her." Remain on guard. Who's the loser now?" I chuckle at her stupid pout.
Trina Sage
I've been helping Raine train, she is an extremely fast learner. She trains with the guards every morning and studies magic and strategies during the afternoon. When she's with Stephanie, I go to the library or go for walks in her, no, our private garden.
I'm surprised she's taking this so seriously, she never took anything very seriously. She took work for granted as well as, her bills, savings and time...but her friends...she always took us seriously and Sam died...
No wonder she was so determined to enslave all of man and faerie kind...
It didn't sit right with me but maybe I could discuss it once she was calmer, easier to talk to.Raine Dark
I sat listing potion usage while Stephanie went over my most recent tests. I sighed annoyed when I started struggling on which herbs you shouldn't use with Nightshade.
" So. Demons have mates too? I thought it was just Fae."
Stephanie's question made my skin prickle and I shrugged.
" Yeah. I'm just as surprised as you are."
I feel her eyes on me but she says nothing more and neither do I.Neev Sage
I was stunned into silence. The room was an armoire filled with sharp swords and beautiful armor, but the best part was all of it was old. I love historic things so a room full of battles long gone was breathtaking."It's beautiful" I murmur not taking my eyes off the room. From the corner of my eye, I saw him nod and smile.
"I'm in charge of this armoire as well as 2 others if you'd like a tour?" I turn to him my eyes wide.
" Really?" He just nods and I smile like an idiot. We sat for about 2 hours telling each other war stories. He told me about when he was just a foot soldier and the hard work he put in to make it to the ranking he has now, even though one of his parents are highly respected court member, his mother had been a faerie servant girl that caught the demon lord's eye. I wish I could've been told of a happy romantic tale but that wasn't ever going to be the case when a demon was involved. Thaman was spared and he refused to just be given the title of general, so he worked for it. He told me about how he and his best friend commanded a set of troops set up to fail, it brought tears to my eyes learning his best friend didn't make it back.
Thaman Safire
Why am I telling him one of my most personal stories? What is it about this fae prince that makes me want to get to know him? Is it my fae half that seeks connection to another of my kind? Or is it that elusive mating bond, I'm a demon however, I can't have a mate can I? I'll have to figure it out...as Princess Raine's private general and main war council partner, all my focus needs to be with my army.
The hours I spent with Neev was calm and relaxing. I showed him demon history and in turn, he showed me fae history. We both studied human and witch history with the princess. The scary one known as Stephanie teaches us about witch history, even though she's a crazy sadist, I must admit she's pretty smart.

I was lonely when Thaman wasn't with me, but I managed to keep myself entertained when he's busy helping Raine devise war strategies. I read in the library or help with chores, much to the servant's horror. I would wash dishes, tend to gardens and help carry stuff. The first few days they chased me away but eventually, they gave up and let me help with the chores.
So when I wasn't reading, writing or learning, I was cleaning which I was completely happy with. I stayed as far away as I could from dungeons, the screaming that echoed off the walls nearby sent me running. I don't think I'm a coward for hating other's pain, even if all the demons in this realm think so.
I finish up with the dusting and I'm greeted with a goofy looking general." You look adorable in an apron, Neevy." He chuckles as I glare at him and untie the apron around my neck and waist, my cheeks heating." Whatever General...Fire."
I go redder as he laughs," That is the worst come back I have ever heard, and I've heard a lot." He teased but I just ignored him and went to the main lounging area that Raine allowed high-ranking army members to go. I am allowed in pretty much every area cause of Raine, but that doesn't mean I will abuse the power.
All the captains and generals turn their heads as I walk in, as usual, I look down at the attention but feel a lot better once Thaman walks in behind me and leads me to his usual seating area. " Neev, why are you so shy? You're a fae prince for crying out loud. I mean aren't fae supposed to have the ego of a thousand humans combined?" I roll my eyes at Thaman's questions as I sit down.
" I may be a prince but I'm not about to go walking around expecting others to grovel at my feet, Thaman. Especially since I am not a royal of these lands and have no right to these peoples respect." He thankfully drops the subject and we start talking about battle strategies and how much I dislike shopping, even though he is clueless about what a mall is.Trina Sage
I have joined Raine in training with the guards each morning, much to her annoyance, she threatens to kill anyone who stares at me for longer than 10 seconds, and let's just say Raine has managed not to kill the poor guard that flirted with me yesterday...
I asked the servants to help me out with a surprise I've planned for my mate's day off. I must say for someone that can read minds she hasn't suspected anything, but then again she said she would not read my mind without permission.
