Normani's POV
I nervously knocked on the door. I tapped my foot against the pavement and wiped my hands on my shirt.
"Hey, Normani. How are you?" Mrs. Carter asked me.
"I... I'm fine. Is it okay if I see Y/N?" I asked her.
"Yes, of course. She's sick right now. She's not really herself... mentally," her mom told me.
"What do you mean?" I asked and she just ushered me in. I followed up to Y/N's room where. Y/N was crying her heart out then she stopped.
"Mommy?" Y/N asked almost in a childlike voice.
"Yes?"
"I don't feel good," she said and whined. She rolled over and looked at us.
"Who's that? She's really pretty," Y/N mumbled. Her eyes were a bright green and she just looked innocent.
"Is she in a headspace?" I asked her mom.
"Yes, sort of kinda... not really. I don't really know. I'll explain," she replied, "can you try to get some sleep baby?"
"Are you coming back?" Y/N asked nervously.
"Yes, baby. I'm only going to go talk to Normani, baby."
"So that's your name? You're really pretty. I think you should be my girlfriend," Y/N said with a cute smile on her face.
"I kinda am," I told her.
"You must be Y/N's girlfriend, but you can be mine too," she said and giggled.
"I'll think about that. What's your name, cutie?" I asked going over to sit by her.
"I'm Y/N/N. I wouldn't get too close. I have germs."
"It's fine. How old are you, Y/N/N?"
"I'm ten. How old are you?"
"I'm twenty-two."
"Y/N is older you."
"She's only a year older than me."
"Yeah, she's old," she said giggling.
"Do you know what year it is?"
"Uh according to mommy, it's 2018, but I only have memories from 2005," she replied.
"What memories?"
"The storm. My parents dying. Me having no food or shelter. Me being all alone," she answered.
"What it scary?"
"It was really scary," she replied and yawned, "is it okay if I go to sleep now? I'm very tired."
"Go ahead, cutie. I'm gonna go talk to your mom," I replied. She gave me a hug and laid down. I got up and walked over to Beyoncé.
"Call me if you need anything, baby," Bey told her and she mumbled something.
"She's dissociating," I said looking at her face in the mirror.
"How do you know that?"
"Watch," I replied letting few minutes went by.
"Hey, baby," I said to Y/N and she furrowed her eyebrows.
"Mani, what are you doing here?" she asked.
"I came to see you since you practically ghosted me," I replied walking back in the room.
"I'm so sorry. I've just been going through a lot in my head."
