Y/N's birthday

Your POV

I hated my birthday and every time it would come around, I was surprised I had even made it to see another year. My mom had invited her family over for a luncheon, which meant I couldn't stay in my pajamas all day long. Jess was also throwing me a birthday party at a club. Meaning I had to be around people all day long.

"Happy birthday, baby," my mom said shaking me lightly.

"Thanks, mama," I mumbled rolling over to look at the time on my phone.

"Get up, get ready and come downstairs," she said and I groaned.

"I just wanna sleep today, mama," I told her and she shook her head.

"You got thirty minutes," she said and kissed my forehead before leaving. I got out of bed and stretched. I went to the bathroom, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, did my skin care routine and put on some clothes. I quickly put on deodorant and lotion. I wore a simple white t-shirt with black jeans and black socks. I went downstairs and Blue ran over to me.

"Happy birthday," she said excitedly.

"Thanks, baby," I replied and kissed her forehead.

"I got you something," she said handing me a box. I opened it and it was a necklace with her birthstone in it.

"Thanks, baby Blue. I love it," I said and she blushed.

"You're welcome," she replied. Rumi heard my voice and toddled over to me. I put the necklace on before I picked her up.

" Bir'day, 'ubby," she said and cheered.

"Thank you, princess. Where's my little troublemaker at?" I asked her and she looked around before pointing at Sir, who was about to put his toy car in his mouth.

"Why are you like this?" I asked him and he giggled before walking over to me. I picked him up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Mine," Rumi said and grabbed my face.

"Happy birthday, my baby," my grandma said walking towards me.

"Hey, grandma. I missed you," I said and she gave me a hug.

"I missed you, too," she said and kissed my cheek purposely leaving her red lipstick on my cheek.

"Momma, don't be kissing on my baby. Especially with that lipstick on her face. What if her face breaks out, momma?," my mom said playfully and my grandma waved her off.

"Here you go, baby," she said handing me an envelope that was thick.

"You been slanging that stuff, grandma?" I asked her and she laughed.

"I mean I might have," she replied making me laugh.

"Thanks, grandma," I said and my mom came back with a damp cloth. She wiped my cheek making me smile.

"Can I take pictures of you with your sisters and your brother?" she asked me.

"Yes, ma'am," I said. She called Blue over and we took a few pictures before my mom took a selfie with me.
