BARNEY'S POV:
It's been about 4 weeks since Ted & I started dating, mostly the dates we've had after the gay bar was like the first one, dinner at one of our apartments and movie night.
We walked into maclaren's pub and sat at our booth with our friends, the gang was surprised on my lack of hitting on girls lately so I got up and started talking to this girl and I told her that tomorrow I was gonna die of cancer blah blah blah
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" she said
"Do you want to go back to my place?" She asked
I nodded, my friends needed to see that nothing was different about me, me and that girl, that I never learned the name of walked outside, she was about to hail a taxi and I said
"I'm sorry, but I don't have cancer, I lied in there" I said surprised with myself by my honesty
The girl slapped me in the face
"Why did you lie? Just to get laid?" She asked as she rolled her eyes
"Long story short I usually hit on girls every chance I get, now I have a boyfriend, we haven't told our friends yet and they started getting suspicious so I had to make it look like there was nothing different, and uh I'm sorry" I rambled really fast
"oh, wow uh well that's ok, I appreciate your honesty" she said more like a question, she got in a taxi and drove away and I hailed a taxi and went home
TED'S POV:
Barney went and hit on some girl, really? Right in front of me? The girl asked if he wanted to go back to her place and Barney said yes, and they walked out
"SON OF A BITCH" I yelled then covered my mouth with my hands quickly
"What Ted, you mad because you didn't get to be the wingman when Barney made that play" Marshall said teasingly
I just rolled my eyes, I'm not in the mood for jokes. My phone started ringing and it was Barney, I thought about just letting it go to voicemail and make him feel guilty but I decided to answer
"Oh it's you" I said in cold voice
"Babe, what's wrong?" He asked
"Really, you're asking me what's wrong?"
"Who's Ted talking to?" Lily asked coming back with 2 beers
"I don't know" Marshall whispered
/back to phone call\
"Uh what's your problem Ted?" Barney asked confused
I don't know why I got so mad all of a sudden, I guess it was because he should know why I'm mad, but I just got pissed
"I DON'T KNOW FIGURE IT OUT" I yelled and hung up quickly
"who the hell is that and why are you so pissed off?" Lily asked
"None of your business god" I said and walked away and went to my apartment
it was only 10 but I got into bed and cried into my pillow I don't know why Barney would want to date me anyway, I'm ugly and boring and so smart it's annoying and I'm such a mess, I was balling into my pillow by now trying to fall asleep but my insomnia got the best of me, so I got up and took some melatonin but it didn't help much, so I was up most of the night with my terrible thoughts, now blaming it all on myself and watching the office on Netflix.
AUTHORS NOTE:
If you guys don't know what melatonin is, it's like a pill that makes you sleepy.
Sorry this chapter is depressing, I'll try and make the next one more positive.
