TED'S POV:
It's Christmas Eve and Barney & I were walking into maclaren's, we saw all our friends sitting at our booth
"Guys we have an early Christmas present for you" Barney said
Marshall and Robin smiled really big at us, and I realized the only person who didn't know about us is Lily and then I realized that if Marshall knew, Lily knew.
Barney & I held up our hands intertwined
"We're dating" we said in unison
Marshall squealed
Lily pretended to be shocked
And Robin smiled really big at us
then they all stood up and gave us a group hug
"We're so proud of you" they all said hugging us
BARNEY'S POV:
I left maclaren's and Robin & I were going to go hang out, we went to her apartment.
"Want some wine?" She asked
"Sure" I answered
Robin came and sat down next to me with 2 glasses of wine
"So how long have you and a Ted been dating? She asked
I stuck my hand in my pocket and pulled out an engagement ring and opened the box to show Robin
"Oh my god Barney" she gasped
"I know right isn't it awesome?" I asked
"You're gonna propose to Ted" Robin said shocked
"Yeah isn't it great?" I asked
"No!" Robin yelled
"Why?" I asked
"because I doubt you two are actually gonna stay together" robin explained
"I don't know, I have a good feeling about this" I said
"Barney, promise me you'll wait till next year, just to be sure, I don't want you two getting married just to get divorced" robin said
I was about to say no, then I remembered that New Years was coming up and smiled
"I promise" I said
"Good, and congratulations, you're about to master commitment"
My eye twitched a little when she said commitment
"maybe you're not ready to be married" Robin said hinting at how I just twitched
"I don't know, all I know is that I love ted and want to spend the rest of my life with him" I said being ok with admitting this to Robin because she's my best friend
"Really you're admitting that?, you must really love him" Robin smiled at me
"Yeah, I really do" I said smiling big
I hugged Robin and left and went to Teds and he was already asleep I smiled and laid next to him and fell asleep.
