BARNEY'S POV:
I woke up and Ted was already awake watching tv.
"Good morning future Mr.Stinson" I said smiling at him
"Oh, oh no, you're gonna take my last name it sounds better, Mr.Mosby" Ted responded
"Psst no way,Barney Mosby sounds terrible" I said
"At least it's better then Ted Stinson, you know how bad that sounds?" He said smiling big
"Hmmm how about you take my last name and I'll pay for dinner" I said
"What kind of deal is that? No way, unless you pay for all the dinners we have for the rest of our lives" Ted teased
"hmmm you drive a hard bargain Mosby.... Fine deal" I said laughing
"I love you" ted said laughing back kissing me
"I love you too you dork" I said kissing back
TED'S POV:
I got my Calendar and wrote down on New Years "when Barney proposed" and drew a big heart over it.
Barney & I went to a connivence store to buy some beer for later, we walked in holding hands. I don't know why I expected any different, but there was the same mean cashier from the Justin Incident working.
"Hey! I told you fags never to come back here" he yelled at us
some beautiful girl sighed and rolled her eyes
"You faggots get out of here now!" The cashier yelled
"You know what, you shouldn't talk to your customers that way, who cares who they love, get over it, it's 2015, it wouldn't kill you to be nice to these guys, I bet they get enough crap about this all the time, get some human decency." The beautiful girl with brown eyes and brown hair and freckles said
I smiled at her really big and so did Barney
"Hey! If you don't like it you can leave too lady!" He yelled
At that comment she just rolled her eyes about to leave the store.
"Hey! Wait up" I yelled after the beautiful girl
she turned around
"Thank you so much for standing up for us, it means a lot that at least there's some decent people in New York" I thanked her
"Of course! No problem, he was being rude, it wasn't fair." The girl responded
I smiled with a small chuckle
"by the way my name is Ted, Ted Mosby" I said
"Actually it's soon to be Ted Stinson" Barney said
"Barney no!" I said
"And I'm Barney Stinson" Barney said
"it's nice to meet you guys, I'm Tracy, Tracy McConnell" the girl said
"nice to meet you too, if you're not doing anything tonight you can come hang out with us and our friends" I said trying to be polite to tracy, she was very sweet and I liked her already
"well I wouldn't want to intrude..." Tracy trailed off
"Psst no problem, our friends will love you, they like it when we bring new people, if it wasn't for us they would've never met Robin." Barney said
"Well when you put it like that... Yeah that sounds really fun" Tracy replied
"Yes! a new member of our gang" I whispered to Barney as we were walking out.
We got into a cab and told the driver the address to maclaren's, we walked in and saw our friends already sitting at the booth.
"Hey guys, this is Tracy, she's super cool and she stands up for equality so..." I trailed off
"Hi Tracy" they all said in unison
"That's Lily" I said pointing at my red headed best friend
"That's Robin" Barney said pointing at our Canadian best friend
"And thats Marshall" I said pointing at my dorky best friend from college
"It's really nice to meet you guys" Tracy said with a smile sitting down
Barney & I sat down and ordered some beers
"so how did you guys meet Tracy?" Lily asked smiling
"We were at the store and this cashier was being a total dick and she stood up for us" Barney said
We all held up our beers and said "CHEERS TO TRACY" and clinked our beers together
It was getting late and after a lot of laughs we were all tired. So we all decided to go home but first I pulled Tracy aside
"You should come hang out with us again, we're here basically everyday, that's our booth, so if you ever see someone try to take it give them a you are dead to me look, it works, ask lily" I said
"Yeah! I had a lot of fun, thanks for being so kind to me, goodnight Ted" Tracy said with a genuine smile and started laughing
Barney & I went home and fell asleep right away, it was a long day.

guys I really love Tracy, and no I didn't add her in this fanfic for her and ted to fall in love, to me Tracy was always part of the gang, they were just waiting for her, so tracy is gonna be part of the gang because I love her to pieces❤️❤️
