The New Beginning (Kirito x Yuuki)

"Hmm... mmrrr. Five more minutes..." I instinctively said after feeling something moved. The movement became more frequent, which led to me waking up. I rubbed my eyes, trying to get rid of the sleepiness. Although it kinda worked, the feeling of 'staying in bed because it feels nice' would not go away. Kirito's back is the first thing i saw when my eyes finally focus. Just then, i felt something moved in front of me, even though me and Kirito are quite apart right now. A black hair appeared at the bottom of my peripheral vision. I looked down quickly. I was instantly greeted by the girl from yesterday looking straight up at my face. "Eh?" I frantically grabbed onto Kirito's shirt and pulled it continuously trying to get him to wake up. "...hmm? wha.. what's wrong?" He said waking up and sounding very annoyed from the pulling. I pointed at the girl between us. He looked down and instantly flailed around in his place. *bonk* A loud thud was heard as he fall off of the bed. He got up shortly after, rubbed the back of his head and groaned heavily. We both fell silent while looking at the girl in a white dress sitting on the bed. "uhh.. d-do you remember what happened?" I took the initiative of breaking the ice and asked the girl. She think for a second, then shook her head. "Then, do you remember your name?" I asked again. "y-Yui." She said for the first time. "Nice to meet you Yui, my name is Yuuki and that over there is Kirito." I pointed at the him while introducing us. She looked at Kirito, then looked at me, and kept doing that three times. At last, she looked at me and with a bright smile, said something that caught me completely off guard. "Mama!" EHH?! She then looked at Kirito. "Papa!" We looked at each other, both of us showing deformed expressions. "uhm.. Yui, are you sure that we're your mother and father?" Her face then showed confusion. "But, mommy is mommy, and daddy is daddy." Cold sweat formed on the side of my forehead. I moved next to Kirito. "What should we do?" I whispered quietly. "I don't know. I've never been in this situation before." Few seconds of silence passed. "Let's go with it." "What?! Are you serious?" With a serious face, i nodded. "It's for the time being. Until we find her family or where she came from, we'll take care of her!" A light sigh came from his mouth. "Fine." He said with a smile. I looked back at Yui who is sitting on the bed. "Well then Yui, you can call me mommy." I said while lifting her up in the air. "Looks like i'm your daddy then." "Mommy! Daddy!"

Kirito

A day was spent playing around. Although i was planning on going to the orphanage, Yuuki insisted on playing with Yui for the day. As if Yuuki's puppy eyes weren't enough, combined with Yui's adorableness, you could say it was inevitable. Not even a floor 100 boss can withstand their power. The plan on going to the orphanage was postponed to the next day.

Timeskip

The next day had arrived, and we went to the orphanage located on the first floor. As we walked down the street with Yui riding on my shoulder, we observed the scenery and made small conversation. The town on the first floor looks very peaceful. Just as i thought that, a shout of distress came from an alley. We peeked through it and saw two soldiers from the Aincrad Liberation Force in dark greenish grey armor ganging up on a lady. Three kids were on the other side of them looking scared. A couple more men can be seen further back the alley. "Come on, pay up the tax!" One of the soldier said. "We already gave you all we had. Just leave us alone!" "Looks there's no other choice but to use force." Just as he said that, Yuuki swiftly stepped in and called out to them. "huh? Who are you?" "Kirito, look after Yui. I'll finish this up faster than you can say 'Raggout Rabbit'" I couldn't help but chuckled. "Sure. Just don't go too hard on them." With a devilish smirk she walked closer to them. With one swift motion, she unsheathed her sword and spun it around in her hands. Finally resting perfectly on the palm of her hands, blade pointed towards the two men. "Listen here you two. It's not nice to harass people in a dark alley. Now get lost." "As if we would listen to you. Get her!" All of the men that was standing further back came charging at Yuuki.
