                                                            Dustin

Light was just starting to fill the room when I awoke. I jumped out of bed to get started on my journey. Aithne is most likely still at Whispering Creek Village because it will be two weeks tomorrow and from what it sounds like, she stays at a certain place for a couple weeks then moves on. I will find her before she makes it to Shadow Forest.

I come down stairs to see Ahlgar standing outside with the door open. Curiously, I walk up to him. I go to ask him what he's doing when he speaks. "I always watch the sunrise and wonder what will happen today and how it will affect me." He turns to look at me. "Hurry, your love awaits."

I nod and head off. I half turned and waved to Ahlgar. Today seems like it will be a good day. There is not a single cloud in the morning sky and a light breeze is travleing with me to the next villiage. I am certain that I will find Aithne when I get to Whispering Creek.

------------

I arrived at Whispering Creek Village in the midmorning. The villiage is full of activity today. People are running around. One frantic Tree Nymph was running to every person she saw, asking something too quick to catch. I kept walking. Maybe she was looking for her child. A man was trailing slowly behind her probably asking the same question but slower so people could help him.

Then the Nymph came up to me. The words she said struck my heart. "Have you seen Queen Aithne? She left her room late last night and I don't know where she is!"

I staggered backward and landed on my butt. "She left. I was so sure she would be here." The Nymph stared at me. "Are you alright?! Oh, I'm so sorry! I mustn't scare people like this."

My eyes were blank. "My Aithne. I lost her again. I was so close!" I pounded the ground with my fist. The Nymph looked at me with confused eyes. "Your Aithne? But King Dustin died in a fire when the Vampires attacked."

I moaned and put my face in my hands. "No. I survived. I was so close this time!" She gasped. Footsteps sounded ahead of me. "Amber, what's wrong?"

"I-i-i-i'ts Dustin! King Dustin!" she stammered. I looked up to the pair of Nymphs. The woman was shaking on her feet while the man was too stunned to do anything. Then I remembered that I had a map and an idea of where Aithne was going. I quickly stood up. "Please take me to where you live. I know where she went." The one named Amber became excited and her eyes brightened. "This way." she tugged on the man's arm and together we went to their place.

Once we got there, I saw a sappling that was getting ready to bloom. Amber rushed to it. "My little Sakura will be born soon! Maybe by noon, she will be with us." Gently, she stroked one of the half open flowers. She then stood up and led me into her house.

We sat around the table and I pulled out the map. "We are here," I placed my finger on Whispering Creek. "And Aithne is heading here." I ran my finger over the map to Shadow Forest.

"But why?" The man asked. Amber glared at him. "Erez, don't you know?! She's a Shadow Person! It makes sence that she would go there. That is her home." I nodded. "I will be leaving for there soon. You two make sure no one in the villiage talks about me or Aithne being here. If the Vampires hear word of this, the whole villiage will be up in flames." Amber and Erez nodded.

"Then I will make my leave and wish you two luck." I stood, rolled up the map, and put it away. "Farewell. I will send word when the Vampire mess is over with."
