"WAKE UP WAKE UP! TIME TO GET UP!" Rotom began darting about the room, its cacophonous voice reverberating into Ash's ears.

"Ugh. Rotom, five more minutes. Come on." He tossed a pillow blindly into the air, hoping that it would meet its target. Rotom dodged the pillow attack, and continued to be the annoying thorn in Ash's sleepy side.

"Fine! I'm up already." He sat up, and leaned over, resting his head on his hands. He had been out late with Kiawe and Gladion, and three hours of sleep just was not cutting it.

Rotom floated down in front of his face. "C'mon. You've got a big day ahead. Professor Kakui and Professor Bennet are taking you some place, remember?"

Ash groaned, looking up at the far too chipper Pokemon slash Pokedex. He glanced over at the clock on the wall. It said 5:30 a.m. "Why does it gotta be so early though?"

Rotom raised its arms in exasperation. "It's your own fault, Ash. You shouldn't have stayed out so long with Kiawe and Gladion. I'm only following orders from Kakui himself to wake you up early."

"Pika, pika pika pikachu. Pika pika pikachu pika? Pika?" Pikachu sat up, glowering at Rotom. Its cheeks were sparking. (Translation: "Rotom, Imma murder you. 5 freakin' 30? Seriously?")

Rotom's screen displayed an irritated emoji. It held up its hands, floating backward in concern. "Pikachu, I'm only doing what Kakui asked me to do. He asked me to get you both up early. This is weird. Normally you all are ready to go almost as soon as you wake up! That's what you both get for wandering back in at 2 am!"

Despite Ash's sleepy irritability, he silently admitted that Rotom was, in fact, right. Kakui had told him that he was going to need to get up early, due to the fact that he and Bennet had somewhere they wanted to take him before he left back for Kanto. The night before, Kiawe had dragged them into this island party there on Melemele. It was mostly for older teens and young adults, and was known as the "Mele Mele Tail-of-May Bash" and he was sure that Kakui would possibly have a fit if he found out Kiawe had taken Ash there. Not that it mattered; neither Ash nor Gladion enjoyed the party that much.

Despite both being, seventeen, Gladion and Kiawe's responses to the party could not have been more different. Gladion mostly kept to the corners sipping Pinap juice, and sitting with his Pokemon avoiding everyone. However, that did not keep him from being a popular guest at the party though. Handsome and aloof, a lot of intoxicated females kept stumbling over, and grabbing onto him, much to his dislike. He kept wandering around muttering to himself wondering why the hell he agreed to this in the first place.

Kiawe however, joined the party with gusto, especially when an Alolan style dance off began to occur. This seemed to trigger the "fire of Wela Volcano" in his spirit. Well, maybe not so much the spirit of the volcano as much as concoctions of berry juice and rum.

Ash had his fair share of drunken, bikini clad ladies coming after him as well, which made him a pretty uncomfortable. Ash had gotten a lot more handsome over the past few years, and looked slightly older than what he actually was. He was losing his baby fat, and he was taking on a lot more muscle tone. And, due to his being outside so much in his travels, his skin had gotten even darker. His looks and their effect on girls was something he didn't really understand.
