Spoink and Blaziken led them through the woods to a small cave. The group stopped in front of it, and Spoink started bouncing hysterically.

"Spoink spoink spoink spoooooink!" (Translation: "The one who stole it is in heeeerre!")

May stepped forward and peeked into the cave carefully. Inside was a Claydol, slumbering away, the large pink pearl sitting next to it. Serena pulled out her Pokedex and held it up towards the sleeping Pokemon.

"Claydol, the hardened clay Pokemon. It is said the Claydol were originally handcrafted clay dolls made by an ancient civilization. Legend says that they ended up coming to life when exposed to a mysterious ray of light. Please beware of them in the wild as they are capable of extremely powerful psychic attacks."

"Hm. How are we supposed to get it then?" Serena pondered to herself. Any wrong move waking it up and they'd be facing some serious trouble. She looked through the pokedex entry and saw that it was a Ground and Psychic type. This then made her brain hatch an idea.

"Okay, Claydol is a Psychic and Ground type. If we attack it while sleeping with ice, water, and dark type moves, we may be able to render it unable to move, it and keep it from coming after us, allowing us to grab the pearl and run off." She kept her voice quiet. She grabbed Pancham's pokeball, and brought him out. Then May sent out Glaceon and Dawn decided to go with Piplup.

"Pancham! Use dark pulse on Claydol!"

"Glaceon! Use blizzard!"

"Piplup, hydro pump!"

The triple attack swirled up together in a horizontal vortex, and flew back, hitting the Claydol, making it crash somewhere back into the cave. It was hard to tell how far back the cave went. "Get your pearl Spoink! Now! Hurry before it comes back!" Serena's voice was hurried.

Spoink used a psychic attack and pulled it to its head. "Spoooooink!"

May looked around, positioning herself to bolt. "We gotta go, now!"

The three girls recalled their Pokemon, and they began to run at top speed with Spoink bouncing at their side. They kept running and running, and were almost to their campsite when they heard a very disconcerting sound.

"CLAYDOOOOOL!"

Serena took a glance back, and saw the floating Claydol closing in on them. Its arms began to light up, and began to shoot explosive beams of light at them. How did that not work? "Crap! Crap! Crap! We gotta hide!" Explosions rang out all around them.

May and Dawn glanced back as well, their faces filling with fear. They separated and jumped into some different shrubs. Spoink jumped in after Serena. Serena somehow ended up, in a bush full of thorns. "Ouch!" The thorns poked into her uncomfortably. She was going to have a lot of cuts later to deal with.

"CLAYDOOOOL!" It's angry voice raged through the forest, sending out more beams of light, and more explosions.

Serena maneuvered herself over Spoink. The only thought she had right now was trying to keep it safe. She was not going to let the Claydol find Spoink's pearl again if she could help it. Then, all of the sudden, she heard a loud noise, and felt herself lift off of the ground, twirling and tumbling through the air. She felt her back hit against something hard, and she hit the ground. She opened her eyes, and realized that the Claydol was floating right over them. It raised its arms again,
