Legends and Candy

(The next day, Magnolia Town, 11:00 am)

Bonnie and Maria walked down Dock Street, admiring all of the old shops. Most were little boutiques, art galleries, novelty, voodoo, or jewelry stores. There was also a few sweet shoppes. At this, Bonnie and Dedenne's eyes lit up, and they bounded excitedly into the store. "FUDGE FUDGE FUDGE!"

"NENENE!"

Maria chuckled, shaking her head. She followed in after her. "This is one of the best sweet shoppes in Persici. They are well known for their fudge especially." Not that I've ever had any of it, though.

Bonnie's eyes glistened, and she pressed her face up against the glass where the fudge was encased. "Fudge..."

"Nenene!" Dedenne looked at it with adoration as well.

An older woman came out of the back, accompanied by an Emolga, who sat perched on her shoulder. She stood elegantly, but had a very kind face. She wore a green apron embroidered with gold letters that said, Dock Street Sweets.

"Hello!" The woman smiled, and came out to the counter. "Welcome to my shoppe. Can we help you?"

"Emolg!" The Emolga smiled, and waved.

Bonnie looked up, practically drooling. "I would like a piece of every kind of fudge you have! And some of these...buckeyes? Peanut butter and chocolate, right?"

The woman's eyes widened in surprise, but she smiled and chuckled. "Okay. Coming right up!" She turned to Maria, and nodded to her. "Do you want anything darlin'?"

Maria glanced over the counter, her arms crossed over her chest, studying the wares. "I think I'll have two of the giant chocolate covered pretzels, two pieces of the orange cream fudge, six of the white chocolate razz berry, and the dried pecha berries dipped in chocolate." She turned to her Eevee on her shoulder. "Is there anything you would like, Stryke?"

Stryke tapped the glass at some white chocolate truffles filled with matcha jelly. Maria smiled and patted him. "You like Matcha, don't you?" The other night, Ash had shared a taste of his Matcha ice cream with Stryke. For Stryke, it was love at first bite. She turned to the lady and nodded to her. "We'll take some of those as well."

The woman smiled warmly, and began to fill each of their orders. "It's been a while since Emolga and I have had such a big order!" She got all of the candy out and weighed it all, and gave them the price. She handed them the bags, and they walked outside with a smile and wave.

Bonnie and Dedenne looked completely thrilled at their purchases. "Dedenne, today, you and I are the FUDGE MASTERS!" She raised the bags above her head excitedly.

"Nenene!" Dedenne raised her arms as well, a determined look on her face.

Maria placed her hand on Bonnie's head, smiling. "Maybe you are. However, Bonnie, if you eat it all at once you'll be the tummy ache masters."

Bonnie grinned at her, and gave her a peace sign. "Haha! Who cares if I puke, as long as I have FUDGE!"

Maria gave her a strange look, and shook her head. "I think your priorities are a little out of whack there, kiddo. I think you should share all that fudge with the guys, though. I'm sure they would like to try some."

Bonnie stuck her lip out and sighed. "Oh, alright. Fine. You're right. But, one thing you have to understand is that Ash's stomach is like a bottomless pit or ultra wormhole. I don't want him eating all of my fudge. You should have seen him when he travelled with us in Kalos. He was obsessed with Serena's Pokepuffs and Macarons. Although, I think my brother's Chespin had him beat even there."
