Ash, Serena, and Tracy sat at the table, feeling a little awkward over Professor Oak's statements. The three of them agreed that it seemed like it came out of left field pretty much; in their minds, anyway. They discussed among themselves wondering if maybe they should have someone else go with them. They didn't want to worry the adults. Tracy definitely couldn't do it, he was busy with his work with Professor Oak. It was all very disconcerting and confusing.

Serena took a sip of her Pecha Berry juice, thinking carefully. Then her face changed, and Ash knew that something was stirring around in her head. "What is it? Do you have an idea?"

She nodded and stood. "I'll be right back. I need to use a phone!" With that, she ran off in the direction of where she knew Delia's office was. Delia and Professor Oak were walking out as soon as she made it. She could tell that whatever conversation they had did not seem to go well at all. Their expressions were tense and irritable.

"Um, Mrs Ketchum, can I use the phone in your office, please? Is that okay?" Serena asked cautiously.

Delia nodded to her, smiling, her expression changing. "Go ahead, sweetheart."

"Thanks!" She ran into the office, and dialed the number on the video phone. It connected and soon, a familiar little face appeared on the screen.

"Oh! Serena! Is that you?" Bonnie's eyes lit up excitedly.

"Yeah! Hey Bonnie! How are you doing?"

A few minutes later, Serena came back out to the table. Things were still tense, and the air was as thick as MooMoo butter. She sat in her seat next to Ash, and glanced around the table. "Well, uh, we have someone to accompany us."

Ash looked over to her in surprise. "Really? Who?"

Serena grinned. "Bonnie!"

Ash looked at her in surprise. "Really? Is that okay?"

She nodded. "Oh yeah. I knew she had recently turned 10, so she was definitely ready to become a trainer. I talked to her Dad and Clemont. They both agreed that they'd feel better if she went on her first journey with people they knew, even if it was in another region. I also tried to see if Clemont might want to come, but, he is extremely busy with inventing, the gym, and apparently he has a girlfriend now."

Ash chuckled, remembering all the times Bonnie had tried to get him set up with someone on their journey. "So, did Bonnie find him a 'keeper'?"

Serena shrugged. "I honestly don't know if she had anything to do with it or not. I just know he has a girlfriend. She described her as someone who is really pretty, a bookworm, and loves Pokemon. She also mentioned her name, but, I can't recall it at the moment. The conversation went kind of fast. But, Bonnie is going to meet us at the airport in Pirate Port City in Persici."

Tracy looked at her in surprise. "Why not Pecha Grove City? That's the main hub of the region."

Serena nodded, and took a sip of her drink before answering. "The thing is, the Pecha Grove airport is absolutely massive, apparently, and it is easy to get lost. Pirate Port is a little smaller and it will be easier for us to find each other if we go there. Apparently their Dad has been to Persici before. He said Pirate Port City is a really cool, historical town with a lot of things to do. If you go across the bridge, you can get to some islands and go to the beach. They have a ton of great restaurants, sweet shops, ghost tours, and a gym too. They also sometimes have contests there in that town. Clemont looked it up real quick, and apparently there is a contest there in a four days. I kind of would like to go to see how they do it there before I jump right in."
