The tears dripped down my face as I looked down at the little plastic stick in my hand. The little pink plus sign stared me down like the little jerk it was. I dried it off and put it on the counter before I pulled up my pants. I shoved the little thing in my pocket and quickly washed my hands before I left for school.

My hands were slimy with sweat and slipped on the steering wheel as I drove along the familiar streets to school. My shirt began to grow damp as rivulets of sweat ran down the center of my chest and pooled in my bra. I was so nervous because I knew I couldn’t hide from him for long. Telling him was inevitable.

I pulled into a parking space and fell back against the seat. I could feel the plastic stabbing into my leg from my pocket so I took it out and glared down at the little thing with such a strong hatred.

I jumped when something slammed against the drivers door of my car. I quickly hid what I was looking at and turned to my window. There were people making out against my car. While I was in it. Seriously?

I rolled down the window and the person almost fell through the window. They turned around and I groaned when I saw it was just Declan and Isaac.

“Oh, sorry, totally didn’t see you there,” Declan giggled.

“Oh God, Declan,” I sighed.

“Ah, ah, ah! Don’t use that horrific word around me,” Declan shook his head and tsked at me.

I rolled my eyes, “Okay then, Oh Satan, Declan. Now get the hell off my car.”

I slammed the door behind me as I got out of the car.

“What’s in your pocket?” he asked, reaching for the hunk of plastic sticking out from my left pocket.

“Nothing,” I said and rushed inside the building, shoving it deeper into my pocket so no one else would see it.

“Oof,” I slammed into something hard as I rushed through the halls. I realized it was a person when they grabbed my upper arms to steady me. I looked up to see It was Tobias. My cheeks flushed red and I stepped away.

“You alright sweetie - I, I mean Rikki, uh, sorry,” he looked away and chewed on his nail.

“About that…” I whispered. Ah hell, might as well tell him now, it’s better than him finding out himself. “Can we go somewhere… private for a minute?”

“Uhm, sure,” he replied, glancing around warily.

I pulled him into an empty classroom and locked the door before I moved away from the window in the door into the darkest corner of the room. I pulled it out of my pocket with a shaky hand and gave it to him. He looked at it in confusion for a minute.

“It’s a pregnancy test, Tobias, don’t look so shocked,” I mumbled, looking at him through my lashes. I could see his jaw working as he clenched the pregnancy test in his big hand. I slid to the floor and cried like a baby once again.

Tobias drooped to his knees and wrapped his arms around me, burying his face in my hair. “It’s okay, don’t cry sweetheart,” his lips brushed against my ear as he spoke, sending shivers down my spine. “We can figure this out. I - it wasn’t your fault okay, you can have an abortion or something, no one needs to know, okay?”

There was a long pause as I struggled to push the words from my lips. All I could get out was a small and shaky “No.”

Tobias pulled back a little, “What?”

“I can’t do that, Tobias. Er, Mr. Anderson?”

“Tobias, ew don’t call me Mr. Anderson. That makes the whole thing sound so much worse. What can’t you do, love?”

“I can’t have an abortion. It feels wrong, and honestly I’m not ashamed of the fact that my child is yours,” I blushed and looked away. He put his hands on either side of my face and forced me to look at him.

“I love you, and if you want to have the child then I support you one hundred percent, okay?” he looked at me with such a sincerity that I couldn’t help but nod yes.

“I love you too,” I said before he silenced me with his lips against mine. The kiss was short but sweet and it made my worries go away for the time being. I snuggled into his arms and we sat like that for a few minutes until the bell for first period rang.

“Oh shit, school. Holy shit Rikki how old are you?” his face clouded over with worry and all my happiness slipped away.

“Eighteen.”

“Oh, thank God,” he let out a shaky breath. “If you had been any younger I could be in prison right now.”

“I’m so sorry Tobias!” I began to cry again, realizing that I had just put his job, his life on the line.

“It’s okay, it’s okay, don’t cry.” he wrapped his arms around me and held me tight to his chest. “It’s okay.”

“You’re pregnant?” Declan shrieked. He turned to Tobias. “You put your penis in my best friend without my permission!”

Tobias chuckled, which did not help things much. I shot him a glare to which he immediately shut up.

“Declan, it’s fine, it’s all under control, calm down, okay? I really need your help with this. It’s up to you to help me keep this a secret. At least as long as I can, okay?”

“Okay.” he agreed, although not looking too happy about it.

“Thank you so much, Declan, it’s just… if my mom or dad found out… I would be dead, and no one can know it was Tobias yet,” I squeezed his hand and rested my head on his shoulder.

“Okay,” Declan squeezed my hand in return and then chuckled wickedly. “I can’t wait to see you get all big and watermelony.”

“Yeah well I’m gonna rock the watermelon look so shut up,” I playfully shoved him and then stood.

After I had told Tobias the news we went to the Studio to tell Declan. There wasn’t anything I could keep from Declan, and I kind of needed his help to deal with this whole baby thing. I was so happy when Declan didn’t get pissed off about it, but it kind of felt like he had expected it which confused me.

“Do you want to stay at the motel with me again? I know you probably don’t want to deal with your mom tonight,” Tobias asked as we walked together out to our cars.

“Yes please. Thank you so much, I can’t stand her,” I groaned as I unlocked my car.

“You’re welcome.”

“I’m just gonna go change at my house and grab something to sleep in and I’ll come over okay?”

“Sure. By the way you know you are always welcome to borrow my Batman T-shirt,” he smirked and got into his car.
