A/N: First of all, I feel the need to send out a MASSIVE thank you for getting this story over a hundred views. To most people, the ones with thousands of views, it's not that big of a deal - but it is to me, because I never expected to even get, like, five. Anywho, this chapter is dedicated to BiggestNiallanator69 because she always leaves me nice comments that are always good to read.   The song for this chapter is Don't Speak by No Doubt. I think that's about it for now, so, I hope you enjoy the update. c:

"I really feel, like I'm losing my best friend. I can't believe this could be the end."

Liam was supposed to be Niall's best friend.

He was supposed to know everything about him - what made him tick, what was wrong with him when he was upset. He used to be like that - but at the moment, Niall wasn't particularly sure Liam knew how to be a best friend anymore.

Niall didn't know much. He hadn't quite figured life out yet - at least, not the majority of it. But he did know this wasn't the way people were supposed to act - especially not to someone that played such a big part in another person's life. Liam had made him bleed - Niall's nose was gushing blood; he wouldn't be surprised if it were broken. He was sobbing, his shoulders were heaving - Liam had just attacked him. His best friend...

Liam was shaking. His fists were clenched at his sides, his eyes were snapped shut. He had done a terrible thing, that much he knew - but it was Niall's fault. Why couldn't he just say something? Anything to explain this behavior would be enough for him. He was positive he could help Niall with whatever this was. Why couldn't he just trust him?

Louis was on the verge of an anxiety attack as he tried to console Niall, "Ni, is it broken? Are you okay? Do you want a towel?"

"Why did you do that?!" Niall screamed at Liam, completely ignoring Louis.

"Why can't you trust me with this?!" Liam yelled back, stepping dangerously closer to Niall. "Why can't you tell me what's bothering you? I'm your best mate!"

Niall scoffed, "Some best mate you turned out to be!"

Liam's face turned completely white. He couldn't even speak; it felt like his throat was closing. But no one seemed to be paying attention to him. Louis came rushing into the room with a towel in his hand - but, when he tried to help Niall's nosebleed, he was lightly pushed away.

"I can do it myself," Niall mumbled, voice slightly softer. Louis held out the towel, and gently handed it to Niall. He knew when it was time to back down.

Niall pressed the towel to his nose, wincing as it made the bridge of his nose sting. He frowned as he saw the towel grow red at an alarming rate. Louis frowned as well, and looked at Liam with a glare set on his face, "You see what you did?"

Liam said nothing; he just pushed Louis out of the way, and wrapped his arms around Niall. The blond's heart rate began to speed up. The towel fell from his hands, down to the floor, and he pushed Liam away - trying not to hurt him, but needing his personal space. Liam wasn't ready to give up, however - he tried again. Niall leaped out of the way.

"Don't touch me," he whined. When Liam frowned, Niall's eyes widened. Was he going to hit him again? "I-I, just n-n-need my space-e."

Liam sighed, "Ni, please. Just...tell me you're okay. That's all I need."

Niall didn't like lying, everyone knew that. He was far too sweet to ever mutter out a little white lie - whether it was something major, or something like stealing a chip from someone's plate. So, could he really tell Liam he was doing just fine? Could he tell Liam that nothing was wrong? Could he tell anybody that nothing was wrong?
