A/N: Sorry for the...not so long of a wait. This chapter is dedicated to everyone that has even clicked on this story, because it's reached a thousand reads, and I can't help but smile right now. Writing this chapter wasn't extremely fun, though, so yeah. Once again, there's no point towards that gif, but I thought it was cute, so that's where it stays. The song for this chapter is No Surprise by Daughtry because...Mhm. But, yeah - enjoy? WAIT WAIT - this chapter will contain *drum roll* Narry!! Yes, yes - this is a Niam story, but if you check the tags from the first chapter, it is also a Zarry - meaning the Narry isn't permanent, so I wouldn't get attached to that pairing if I were you. Anywho, you may NOW enjoy!
"If I could see the future and how this plays out, I bet it's better than where we are now. But after going through this it's easier to see the reason why..."
"Nialler..."
"Leave him alone, Lou. He's probably tired."
The boys watched as their small friend twitched in his sleep. Harry felt his heart ache at the sight - Niall looked so peaceful when he slept. When he was awake, however, he was panicky and paranoid all the time. It was nice to see the poor thing at ease.
"Who cares? He needs to get up. It's almost noon!"
"Liam! Just leave him be, will you?"
Liam huffed, and impatiently crossed his arms. He didn't care if the other boys pitied Niall - hell, that's great for them. But that didn't mean he had to. In fact, he found Niall to be acting quite immature. He was nineteen years old - to Liam, that was the perfect age to start acting mature. He would've preferred it be earlier than that, but...
"I think Liam's right. I mean, we don't really have anything planned for the day, but it's still unhealthy to be sleeping so late."
"Don't his bandages need to be changed soon, anyways?"
"He's a big boy - sort of. He can do it himself."
"Liam!"
Harry rolled his eyes at Liam, and placed a gentle hand on Niall's bony shoulder. He shuddered at impact, and shook the elder yet smaller boy. Nothing came of this, so Harry shook him again - harder this time.
Niall's ice blue eyes blinked open - and he nearly screamed when he saw the four figures standing above him. But he relaxed - at least a little bit - when he realized it was just the boys. The boys, of course, meaning Harry, Zayn, Louis, and...Liam. The exact boy who made it quite clear, just the other day, that Niall was not to talk to him until he became The Old Niall once again.
The nerve of some people.
Harry flashed his charming smile, "Afternoon, Sleeping Beauty. We were heading out to get some lunch - do you fancy joining us? You can even pick the restaurant..."
Aha, no.
You guys don't want me there - you'll end up ignoring me the entire time; just like you always do. But you won't take no for an answer, will you? Gah.
"Fine," came Niall's abrupt answer, no emotion seeping through whatsoever.
Harry clapped his hands together happily, and yanked Niall off the couch. He took his hand, and led him upstairs - to his room. A difficult task considering Harry still hadn't gotten off his crutches. Uncomfortable by Harry's sudden scrutiny, Niall stepped inside his walk-in closet to change into his black jeans and gray T-Shirt. Once he was freshened, Harry brought him into the bathroom to change his bandages. He grabbed a fresh roll of gauze, and gently took Niall's hand in his own - causing electricity to shoot through his body.
