A/N: Hey, guys. Welcome back! I've been being a good girl with trying to update my other stories, but I promise I've been at work on this one, too. The dedication goes out to 'whadduphoran' because, seriously, do I even need to explain? I love her, and I love her stories - they're incredible, seriously. And, she's a great friend. So, important matters, alright? I was thinking that this story would be like, thirty to thirty-five chapters long? Now, before you freak out - if you would, I don't know man - there WILL be a sequel. Unless I change my mind at the last second, but for now, there will be one. I have no idea what to name it, so, if anyone has ideas I'm all ears. The song for this chapter is 'Ohio Is For Lovers' by Hawthorne Heights. So, yes. Enjoy. x

"Slow things down or speed them up. Not enough or way too much."

When Niall gets back to the flat, all the lights are out.

And it's a bit strange, considering it's so early in the day. But it's eerily quiet, all the curtains are drawn, and Liam is nowhere in sight. Niall had been expecting an ambush the second he walked in the door. This was worse.

Niall can't see anything, so he stumbles a bit before he finds a wall. He slides his hand up and down and there's a point where his fingers catch on a switch. The light switch, to be exact. A sigh of relief escapes his lips, and he flips it up.

The room brightens immediately, and Niall turns his head to face the wall. If there was something he was expecting, this wasn't it.

The wall, the previously white wall, was splattered with blue paint - actually, not even paint splatters; they were words.

Will you marry me?

There was that moment of confusion where Niall didn't know what the hell he was looking at. His eyes roamed the room even more, and that's when he saw it - Liam was on his knee in the corner of the room, a smile on his face and a box small box in his hand. When Niall looked at him, he popped the top open - revealing a beautiful diamond ring on a golden band.

Niall's heart just about gave out. His hand found his way to his mouth, which he covered dramatically - something he didn't realize he did, it was just an instinct. Tears bulged behind his eyes, threatening to spill out.

Liam wanted to marry him.

"Well?" the brunette prompted, still on his knees. That's what broke Niall - causing the tears to rush down his face. Liam smiled softly at him. "I know it's a bit soon, 'cause we've only been dating for three months, give or take. But I've known you for three years, and I know that I love you more than I could ever love anyone else. I just...I love you, Niall James Horan. So, I'll ask you myself; Will you marry me?"

Niall bit his lip, and for a second, Liam feared that he'd say no.

Those thoughts changed, however, once Niall ran towards him and jumped on him - knocking them both to the ground. Niall started crying for real, then. He grabbed Liam's face and smashed their lips together in a deep, wet kiss.

"Yes," Niall whimpered, breaking their kiss to whisper against his lips. Through his vision, blurred by tears, he couldn't see anything. But he could feel Liam smile against his mouth. "God, yes. I love you, Liam. I love so damn much."

Liam sat up, pulling Niall with him. He grabbed the ring, which had fallen when they had been kissing, and gently slid it onto the blonde's trembling finger.

They started kissing again, and it was off to the bedroom in no time.

"Ni, love?"

Niall turned over in bed so that he was facing Liam - whose eyes were wide open, and he was staring at Niall.

"Yeah?"
