MLFA Chapter 14

Chapter Fourteen

Mitch POV

I have been thinking of Cole all morning, she is amazing, I never felt like this, I thought I knew with Ali but this was different, Cole was the opposite in every way, kind, thoughtful, she is always happy and being with her makes me happy, it's contagious.

I was mad the other night, the night I took Cole's virginity away, I didn't plan it, after my phone call with Ali, it shocked me and I knew I was thinking of Ali through our meal, made feel guilty as I was with Cole.
When we were drinking and Cole was taking her time to come back from the restroom, I had to find her, then I see Darius touching her back with his filthy hands, my blood boiled, he will not stop till he has her, that's why I don't want Cole working with him, I don't trust him, I trust her but he will play dirty, it's like a game to him.
When Ali left, it was terrible but I don't know how I will cope if Cole leaves me for him.

I walk in the cafe where Cole described to me, I can see her, she looks beautiful, sexy especially wearing a short leather skirt and long boots, what is she doing to me, I find it hard to control myself when she is covered completely. I walk to her table.

"Hi" Cole stood up to kissed me, I stood still and looked at Cole couldn't help but stare, "Mitch, do you like my boots" I tried to reply "yeah, leather looks good on you" "so you approve?" she leans in kissing me again, doing something to my brain "I do, wait till tonight and I will show you, how much I like them?"

She has this cheeky grin "can't wait" bring it on Cole.

Cole's POV

I stayed with Mitch every night in the hotel the week I was off on my holiday days, we had a great time just getting to know each other, long walks, dining out, we went to the theatre.

Then Sunday came around and it was time for me to go back to work the next day, I wasn't looking forward to seeing Darius but didn't say anything to Mitch, I knew he wasn't happy for me to go back but it was my job and I needed to.

I wanted to go back to my apartment to sort myself, ready for work. Mitch kept me late in bed, then insisted on having a late breakfast, he had a phone call after we ate, I decided to pack a few things to take back to my apartment, while Mitch was still on the phone.

I was placing the last item in my bag when Mitch walked in, "are you leaving me Cole?" he looked sad, "you know I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I want to check my apartment?" "so that's it?"

Why is he taking this so bad, "no, we can see each other week nights and weekends?"

"when you say week nights? Does that mean Sleepovers?" I rolled my eyes "does your mind think of anything else?"

"No, only of you, it’s going to be difficult enough being in work without you, to be in bed alone every night, and you’re going back to him?"
I can't believe he can be jealous of Darius, he needs to trust me, I walk closer to Mitch.

"I only can think of you, so I'm going to work tomorrow to my annoying boss, but he is only my boss, I don't want you getting distracted with me being here, and I need to get in to my routine, it makes sense?"

I kiss him, which feels like the most natural thing in the world to me, "do you understand?"

"I need you with me, I'll be more distracted if you were at yours? me here, we can at least stay together at night, I will have something to look forward to?"

"You're impossible, you realize this?" his hands are on my sides steadying me, "Is that a yes" he smirks
"I just can't live here for nothing? It's not fair" I feel a fraud living in a hotel for nothing?

"Don't worry about this place, it’s all covered, you're already paying for one place, it’s down to my selfishness that you'll be staying?" I shake my head, "I enjoy being with you, it’s not all your fault"

"I'm glad you are, it means a lot to me, shall I get the driver to take us to your apartment and we can collect what you need for work, use the cleaners here for all your clothes, leave these here?" he holds my face with his hands,

"I will not take no as an answer, then afterwards we could go for a walk and get some fresh air, I know you like to walk?"

"Yes, I would also like the walk"
I started work, I was working at the desk when my phone rang, "Good morning, Heath Engineering, Cole speaking how can I may I help you?" "I can think of a lot things"

"Mitch, what are you doing calling me in work?" "I wanted to speak to you, I'm missing you already"

"I have the sweetest boyfriend, but I haven't seen Mr. Heath yet and I don't want to get caught taking personal calls?" he interrupts "Bad ass remember", he doesn't say anything for a while, I start to worry, "if you're not happy with him or he does anything, I want to know straight away, have you got that Cole?"
"Yes, but I would say a nice ass from what I seen this morning " which was true, I could have easily stayed with him all day, "I better go, I have a meeting, can't get turned on before it starts, we will finish this later my sexy vixen"

"We can't have that, thanks for the call, later" "Bye"
A delivery man goes through reception with a large bunch of a mixture of Red flowers.
"Hello", "Hi, I have these flowers for a Miss Andrews" "that's me" I say it in a high-pitched voice, the delivery man looked at me weird, I chose to ignore him, the flowers looked beautiful, I was excited, the flowers were always for Georgina, but today it was me.
"Please sign here Miss?" I didn't realize he was trying to catch my attention, "ok"

I signed and took the flowers off the man, he walked away, while I looked at the card it read, to my beautiful Cole, hope you have a good first day back, can't wait to see you tonight Love Mitch x

Aww I thought, Mitch was sweet I can't believe how lucky I was to have him as my boyfriend, it scared me just saying that, what happens next? Mitch will go back to the states next year, will that be it, maybe I was looking at it wrong and enjoy spending time with him instead of worrying all the time.

I put my flowers in water and placed them on my desk, "Morning Cole, please could you come in to my office"
How did he sneak up on me, he startled me, it might be the fact I couldn't take my eyes off my flowers, "Yes, Mr. Heath”?

I followed Darius in to his office, I closed the door and stood in front of his desk, "how can I help you Mr. Heath?" "I wanted to speak to you about last week?" "we don't need to?" he was lying back in his chair staring at me

"Yes we do, I'm sorry I was out of line, and that will not happen again, in less you want it to?"
"Thank you for the apology, glad that it will not happen again, but I don't understand what you mean by if I want it to?"

He stood up and walked in front of his desk closer to me, making me tense, “you know what I mean, if you get fed up with the American, then I'm here when you're ready?"

Before I could reply Darius kissed me, I didn't kiss back, it wasn't a bad kiss but it wasn't Mitch, this was wrong, I moved back away from Darius, wiping my mouth.

"Please don't kiss me again, I have a boyfriend and I'm not interested in anyone else" he looked angry, "what happened to you Cole, I was sure you liked me?"

"I did, but I realize now it was a crush, if you want me to leave because its awkward then I will go now?" I needed the money but I f this was a problem then it is only fair to leave.
"No, I don't want you to leave, it would be best if you stay, you're good at your job and I would miss seeing you every day, I did last week" he kept staring at me, this is the most I have ever spoken to him and maybe before I would have melted but not now?

and I didn't know what Darius was trying to do, he sounded sincere but I didn't want to trust him either.

"Alright I will stay but no funny business from now on" he nodded "I will not try to kiss you again, not if it’s not reciprocated"

I turned myself to the door, "If that's all"
Darius nodded and I started to walk away,
"but Cole, I will be waiting, your friend is not perfect and once he slips up I will step in?"
I didn't know how to reply, I just nodded and walked to my desk, I never known Darius to be like this? What's got in to him, should I leave anyway or at least tell Mitch, but I didn't want to make a fuss and decided to stay and not tell Mitch, I was hoping this was for the best...
