CHAPTER FIVE
//
THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT
"Whoa, whoa, what happened?" Meredith asked.
I sighed, letting my head fall back onto the top of the couch, "I don't really know. It all happened so fast. I mean, it didn't mean anything. I was at the cemetery freaking out. Webber just told me he thought Mark wasn't going to Walk again. I hadn't told Mark what really happened. A lot was going on. Plus it was raining," I shrugged.
"We're in Seattle, and we're at Seattle Grace Mercy Death. If every time something goes wrong and it's raining, you gotta kiss someone, well that's gonna be a lot of men you're kissing," Alex said, form across the room.
"Not helpful, Alex!" I Shouted at him.
"Have you told Mark about it?" Meredith asked.
"No, I just wanted to get the whole plugging him back in thing out of the way, first," I store at the ceiling, analyzing the small stains, "I-I don't know how he's going to react."
"He had a baby with another lady, he can't be too upset with you," Cristina added.
"She's got a point," Meredith shrugged.
I groaned, "This is too much! And Hank texted me earlier. I didn't even look at it yet."
"Well, what are you gonna do about it?" Meredith asked.
"Ugh! I don't know!" I said, sitting up.
The door creaked open and Owen leaned in, "Uh, they've finished the assessments and are ready to talk to all of us now."
The room was now filled with an awkward tension. Something weird had been going on between Cristina and Owen for awhile, and now that she was back, so was whatever was going on between them.
"Alright, we'll head down now," Meredith told him.
He nodded, looking at Cristina, then shut the door behind him.
"You two ready?" Meredith asked.
I took a deep breath in, "Yeah, let's just get this done," I sat up and headed to the door.

"Thank you all for your cooperation today," our lawyer said, "Next step is for us to file a complaint against the parties."
"Can we leave the pilot out of this?" Cristina asked, "The man is a paraplegic now."
"Yeah, I agree. We should take him off the list," Derek said.
"Wait. No. What if he was Drunk or-or asleep and-" Callie started.
"No, we talked to him," Meredith cut her off.
"He was totally fine, Callie," I looked down the table to her.
"Dr.Hunt," our lawyer looked over to where Owen was standing, "I'm gonna have to ask you to step out now. This is only appropriate for the victim's of the crash."
