"Good morning!" I smiled, as I watched Mark wake up.

He sighed, "Morning," he said, grabbing the coffee mug from my hand, and kissing my forehead, "Why are you up so early?"

"Well, today could be the day. The day we hear from our lawyer," I said, my head propped up in my hand.

"You must be optimistic, huh?" he asked, before taking a sip from the coffee.

"I think our luck is turning around. I mean, you're here! You proved Webber wrong. You're walking," I said.

"Not without the crutches, we're not there yet," he shrugged.

"We'll get there, we just got to be patient, okay?" I put my hand on his cheek, rubbing a circle with my thumb.

"Yeah, I-I'm just sick of waiting," he shook his head.

I sat myself up and furrowed my brows, "What do you mean?"

"Just-I don't know. Something always comes in the way of us. Haven't you noticed? There's just always something getting in the way," he shook his head.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Well, we're taking a break from the hospital for awhile anyway, okay? Once you've gotten a bit better, the lawsuit gets all out of the way, we'll have time for ourselves," I smiled.

He nodded, "Okay. Yeah, that sounds nice."

"Doesn't it? I've let the place shit on me too many times. I'm done with it. For awhile at least. I mean, I don't know if I'll ever get my job back, Mark. What am I gonna do without surgery?" I leaned against the headboard of the bed and sighed.

"Hey," he set his coffee on the night stand, and turned back to me, "We'll figure this out, okay? You're not going to give up surgery. We'll talk to Hunt, work something out, okay?"

"He's already looking for a new hire, Mark.

"People want to lose weight, they don't eat the cookie. But they get so hung up on not having the cookie their whole life is about having the cookie," I heard Cristina say, as I rounded the corner.

"My whole life is not about the cookie," Kepner said.

As I got closer to the nurse's station I could see Cristina standing on the other side of the desk, waving a cookie in front of April's face. I guess it was safe to say I wasn't missing out on much around the hospital.

"Mhm," Cristina said, not buying what Kepner tried selling her.

I walked behind Cristina, swiping it out of her hand and taking a bite, "What's this cookie business?"

"Kepner being stuck on Jackson," Cristina shrugged.

"Mm, sounds about right," I nodded, as she stormed off.

"Is your whole life about the cookie?" Meredith asked, setting her paperwork down.

"What do you mean?" Cristina asked.

"You and Owen?" Meredith grabbed a handful of cookies, "Are you guys a thing again, or what?"

"Mmm, these are really good cookies," I said, reaching between Meredith and Cristina to grab another one.

"I don't know," Cristina said, grabbing another cookie, "All I know is, having sex with a man who used to be your husband is way more fun than when he is your husband."

"That's all you know?" Meredith furrowed her brows at Cristina.

"What about where these cookies came from? Know that?" I asked through a mouthful.
