After Rilee showed up at the misfits manor, everyone wanted to start drinking and smoking and having a fun time, but the older girl immediately shut them all down, saying that Emily had a tough time at home, and didn't come here for a drunken smoke, she wanted her friends.
Nobody knew exactly why they were there, exactly what the cause of Emily's uncomfort was, or why Cam never showed up, but nonetheless, didn't question the two girls and stayed sober, playing video games together until odd hours of the morning.
Most of the boys retired to their rooms around two or three in the morning. Rilee tried her best, but ended up passing out on the couch next to Swagger, who stayed awake surprisingly longer than the rest of them.
"In all due respect, Em, why are you here?" Matt asks, coming over with three bottles of water and a blanket. Swagger took a water from him and passed the other to Emily.
"I told Cam something and I didn't know how he'd take it, I got scared and ran out," she took a drink from her bottle, downing it quickly and screwing the cap back on.
"Tea. What did you tell him?" Swagger asks, smirking at her and folding his hands in his lap, legs crossed and back arched like some sort of gossip makeup guru. it fit, seeing as he had some leftover mascara on and his lips were forever tainted a faint shade of purpley-pink due to Rilee's makeup adventure.
"You don't have to tell us if you don't want to," Matt clarifies, sending a glare at Swagger.
"I mean, as long as you keep it to yourselves... I guess you can know..." Emily says, biting her lip and taking another drink of her water. looking down at herself. her conscience telling her she shouldn't say anything, she was going to get rid of it all and forget it even happened.
"Seriously, Em, if you do-"
"Rilee and I found out I'm pregnant earlier," she blurted quietly. The two boys' eyes widen in shock, and Emily bites her lip again with a small glance up at the two to see their reactions.
"Like, for real? it is Cam's, right?" Swagger asks immediately. Emily nods frantically.
"Yes! Yes, it is Cam's, I swear," she giggles slightly. "It was an accident though, and it definitely wasn't by our doing."
"Faulty condom or something?" Matt suggests. "I don't know what else it could be."
"That's what I'm thinking. Though, when I told Cam, I hadn't known for more than forty five minutes. I got scared and ran out," she explains. a small sigh escaped her lips after and she shook her head slightly. "I feel terrible, but I really don't know what I'd say, you know?"
"Well, you just found out there's a living thing inside you for God knows how long," Swagger says. "And you're under the stress and pressure of your boyfriend of two or three years to tell him you guys accidentally got pregnant."
"Well when you put it that way," she shrugs and inhales sharply. "What do I say though? 'Sorry I walked out, but yeah, I'm not kidding, your baby is inside of me!', not really sure that'd fly very well."
"I walked into the wrong conversation at five in the morning," they hear from the steps. all three of them whipped their heads around to see Jay standing there, looking extremely confused, tired and shocked all at the same time. And Emily really didn't blame him at all.
"Wow. Yes you did," she says quietly. "Uh, would you believe me if I said you're dreaming and what you heard isn't true?"
"Seeing as I remember waking up and thinking 'who's still awake, I hear people downstairs', no, I don't think I will." he sighs. "As long as I hear the short version of the details, I won't tell a soul." Jay claims, walking over and sitting in a chair across from them. "Spill the tea, sisters."
"Emily told Cam she was pregnant, ran out and came here because we didn't know and it wouldn't be awkward because she felt comfortable here, the end," Matt says quickly, shortening the story they'd discussed for about twenty minutes prior.
"Yeah, okay, wrong conversation to walk into this early in the morning," Jay sighs, getting up again. "This was all a dream!" he says, running back upstairs and going back to bed.
"Thought so."
"Okay, now what," Swagger shrugs. "I don't wanna get white girl wasted with you, seeing as getting white girl wasted is kind of off the block for a while."
"Wow, really?" Matt asks him, smacking the other boy lightly in the arm.
"Ow, just a joke, she can take it!" Swagger jumps, smacking his hand back as it happened, glaring daggers at Matt.
"Don't beat each other up, okay?" she laughs quietly. "I need to find a way to apologize to Cam. I really need help though, I'm at a loss for anything."
"Well, chances are, he's still awake. When he's nervous he starts playing some instrument he has available," Swagger explains, earning a weird glare from both people. "What? Before she came along, I had late nights too!" Swagger defends himself, pointing at Emily accusingly.
"The thing is, you're scary right." Emily's eyes were wide with confusion as she shook her head. "Anyway," she continues. "What's the plan that way then?"
"We can call him over here and you guys can sit down and chat it out. And if needed, me or Matt can be there to support you. We know what's going on, we can help mediate."
"Not a bad plan, actually," Matt shrugs. "Who's texting him though?"
"I got it, he'll answer if it's me," Swagger claims the job, earning another weird glance from Matt and Emily. "What?"
"You do realise that I'm his girlfriend, right? The one literally pregnant with his child?" Emily asks, making Matt and Swagger laugh hysterically before settling down and texting Cam.
