Fear in the back of Emily's head ran up and down her spine like a marathon as her and Rilee drove closer to the airport that Cam would be at. on top of that, she'd be meeting her internet best friend at three in the morning in Covington.
"Em, what the hell," Rilee asked, looking at her fidgeting best friend who sat impatiently in the passengers seat of her 2008 Toyota Corolla. "Stop being so antsy, I'm trying to drive."
"Sorry, sorry," Emily said, attempting to calm her bouncing leg and focused instead on twiddling her thumbs, which didn't work and her leg moved yet again.
"What the fuck has got you so nervous?" she asks Emily, who shrugs in response and points at the airport which has a Delta flight coming in now.
"Do you think that's him? Oh god, what if it is, what if he's really right there?" she asks one question after another and Rilee slams her head onto the steering wheel, accidentally hitting the horn for a split second, evoking both girls to jump and scream.
"Moral of the story," Rilee starts, "Stop asking me questions about your friend, I don't know the answers."
"Duly noted."
