Cam sat on the couch watching as Emily played some first person shooter game, and she was good at it too.

"We should go out again," Emily mumbles aloud. "That was really fun this morning."

  "Why not right now?"

"Spontaneous adventures really turn you on, huh?" Emily laughs, winning her game and turning off the system. "Alright, let's go."

  -

Cam held Emily's hand as they walked over to the little bench they sat on this morning to watch the sun rise, but this time, the sun was dipping low into the horizon. a cascade of oranges, reds, blues and purples painted on the sky like some sort of surrealism piece.

"This is nice," Emily said quietly. a calm and warm breeze lifted her hair and tossed it away across her face, only for her to brush it away and put it behind her. "Thank you, Cam."

  "For what?" he laughs slightly.

"I haven't been this... well, happy in a long while," she answers him, looking at Cam with a small smile, tears threatening to pour from her mismatch coloured eyes. "Ever since I met you I've been happier, and it's not coincidence."

"Emily, you're crying," he laughs slightly, clearing away tears that ran down her cheeks. The two locked eyes and became completely silent for a moment. Cam suddenly kissed Emily. The sensation of their lips together made the moment feel more special than anything the two had ever felt before. She kissed back nearly immediately and wrapped her small arms around Cam.

The two separated, letting Cam see the smile on Emily's face, the tears still falling down (something she couldn't control at that point). Cam as well smiled.

"I was gonna ask this anyway, but now seems just as appropriate," Cam explains, taking a breath and smiling. "Will you be my girlfriend, Emmy?"
