Christina waits for me by my locker when I'm released from science. We greet each other and I open my locker, listening to her blabbing about Will and her, and how they had their first date, which I may add, required of netflix and pizza, cuddling on the couch. I laugh at her a little and close my locker heading to my last period which is History. She follows only to say goodbye, for as she must meet up with Will to go to English.
Tobias isn't in this class with me, we split up right after P.E. He goes off to History then Science, which I am vice versa. My seat waits for me, empty, at the far end corner of the classroom. No one really notices me, which is what I go for. Attention doesn't really find its way to me, so I don't mind looking for it.
"The Stiff," Peters voice shouts from behind me.
I roll my eyes and sit at my desk, putting my backpack on the bottom of the table. My history textbook, lays in front of me, waiting to be read. The teacher walks in just as the bell rings. Everyone sits down, taking their own textbook out, while the teacher writes the homework assignment on the board. From the corner of my eye, I catch peter staring at me. I look at him raising and eyebrow, all he does is smile at me and turns away. I stay confused for a second, but then shake it out of my head, listening to whatever the teacher was teaching about, watching the minutes tick by.

My dinner stares at me as I refuse to eat it. It's not that I don't want the cheap pizza that I bought for a dollar, but I'm too busy thinking about Peter. Throughout whole history class he kept glancing at me and smiling, biting his lower lip, and sometimes stare intensely. It was kinda creepy. I try to ignore the panic building up inside me and I put my now cold pizza in the fridge.
As I make my way upstairs, I feel pressure at my arm and I turn around, only to find Bud.
"We need to go down to the office," he says, almost with panic in his voice.
"Why couldn't Paul just come," I say.
"This is crucial," he says. "Well for you, but if I want him to believe that I am a good foster parent, I need to take you, Now lets go!"
I drop my backpack at the side of the table and follow Bud outside. I get in the back seat, putting my seat belt on and holding on for dear life because Bud's reckless driving scares the crap out of me. After that horrific drive, I get out quickly, opening the door to the lobby. Paul stands in front of a lady, instructing her to do something. He sees me and walks over to me.
"Beatrice, its been a while," he says.
"A few weeks, wouldn't call it a while," I say.
"Listen, I think its best we talk in my office," he says.
"I guess."
"Follow me," he says, but before he turns to lead me he turns to Bud and nods.
The halls are crowded with staff and anyone else who's trying to help out. I walk into a room that only consists of filing cabinets and a desk. Paul sits in front of the desk and asks me to sit in front of him in the other chairs.
"Beatrice, I know you've been asking this for a while now, and I think you and him are old enough," he says.
"What do you mean," I say.
"I mean. I think its time Caleb and you connect again," he says.
My heart drops, like the stomach drop feeling you get when you are on a roller coaster and you go down the hill. My eyes become blurry from the tears streaming down rapidly. I wipe them quickly waiting for him to say something else.
"Caleb needs to reconnect with his sister, even if he doesn't remember, we feel he should know," Paul says.
"Oh my god..," I sniffle. "Thank you."
"Beatrice, I know you're happy, but we also need to ask Caleb's foster parents permission, to see if they want any contact with..you," hey says.
"Okay, thank you," I say.
I get up and head for the door wiping my tears off my face. Paul calls out for me and I turn around.
"Beatrice... you'll see him," he says.
I nod and walk out the room, turning the corner to find Bud trying to get the broken vending machine to work. Idiot. He sees me and walks out in front of me, getting into the car faster than I can catch a breathe. I get in the back pretty fast, because if I don't, he'll get mad. Although he hasn't really done any beating lately, I still need to be prepared.
My breathe fogs up the window of the car and I breathe on it more to create a circle of fog. I quickly draw a smily face before the fog goes away and also because of Bud. When we enter the neighborhood, I can already feel the nervousness inside me as we pass gangs and people making out, like not just kissing, but full on each other making out.
Bud parks the car and I get inside faster than he can, not waiting to tell Christina the great new about Caleb.
**************************************
"Christina, I'm telling you, I've been waiting for this for so long," I say.
Christina smiles.
"Man I wish I could hug you right now, but I'm driving," she says.
"Its cool, but ill tell you everything that happens."
"You better and you know what this calls for."
We both look at each other and as if on cue we both say at the same time, Fall Out Boy! I turn on the radio and set it to dvd and Uma Thurman from Fall Out Boy plays and we blast it loud enough to wake the neighbors. Everyone stares at us when we pull up in the school parking lot. Christina turns down the volume when she sees and angry teacher staring us both down. We look at each other and laugh.
We both get out of the car and head to our lockers. I turn the corner to see Tobias waiting for me, leaning against the locker. When he sees me his face lights up, like a light bulb that had an idea.
"Tris," he says.
"Tobias," I say mimicking his voice.
He smiles and I open up my locker.
"Okay, so I think I finally figured out your name," he says.
"You already know it," I say.
"I mean your full name."
"Okay, shoot."
He stares a while at the floor and then finally says something.
"Beatrice."
My smirk turns into a fade when I hear my name come from my mouth. Goosebumps form all over my arms. The way he says my name, its to calm and soothing. I raise an eyebrow at him and he smiles.
"I looked up names that could match to Tris and Beatrice came up. And I think thats a beautiful name," he says blushing a little.
"Well, now you know," I say smiling.
I close my locker and start to class, Tobias following right behind.
Yes, I know that was a boring chapter, but it will get better! I love you all for reading my story and sorry if I got anyone made for changing it. Please continue to read my story and enjoy it.
