Chapter 1

Dean made his way through the crowded hallways. It was lunch, most teenagers would gather in the cafeteria. Dean Winchester, however, did not. He liked to go outside and sit under the magnolia tree in the front of the school yard to study.

Dean didn't have friends, to say the least. He had his brother, and that's all he needed or wanted. He was secluded and most people at Lawrence high didn't take too kindly to gay people. But Dean was alright when people needed to copy homework off of him. Dean was okay with this, at least people weren't making fun of him.

He was a grade A nerd. Made all A's maybe even higher if it's possible. He had a nice, big family: a brother, mother, father, aunts and uncles.. They all loved him and accepted his sexuality choice. Even his father accepted, a strong man with only the highest of expectations for his family to be perfect. Even he thought Dean was perfect the way he was.

Dean would dream of having a perfect family too. A sweet and loving husband and cats. Dean wants lots of cats. He hoped his husband would never be allergic to cats.

Dean only got to study for a moment before it started to rain. He cursed, shutting his book and running off to the side of the school building. There's a little gazebo beside it where you use to could take nice prom pictures. The gazebo is now old and worn. The paint peeling off, and the steps were caving in.

He thought he'd be alone but another boy was standing there smoking. Dean hoped he'd go unnoticed, but Dean's luck isn't very good at all. The boy took a drag on his cigarette and blew it into Dean's face. "Do you mind?" Dean mumbled and glanced at the boy. He had piercings, everywhere: eyebrow, snake bites, gauges, and a septum. His hair was raven black with green dip-dyed tips. He wore black eyeliner. His attire was different. Combat boots, a t-shirt from a band Dean didn't recognise, skinny jeans, and a leather jacket to top it all off. Everything this kid wore was black.

The boy thought for a moment and shook his head. "Not really." He blew another puff at Dean's face.

"Who do you think you are?" Dean suddenly felt irritated with this kid.

"I think I'm Castiel, but I'm not so sure who you think you are." He put out his cigarette and walked closer to Dean. Dean suddenly wasn't so irritated. "I-I'm D-Dean W-W-Winchester." He stumbled at every word. Castiel smiled, a wicked smile. "Not so high and mighty now, are we?" He grinned.

"Shut up." Dean whimpered.

"I won't bite.. Unless you're in to that," he leaned closer, "cause I sure am." Dean froze. What was he suppose to do? Sure his family accepted that he liked men, but this would be crossing the line for them. Just imagine; a beautiful family, perfect, wonderful. Robin egg blue house, white picket fence. Daisies in the front yard along with a couple of rose bushes. Then right smack in the middle, a goth kid with one too many piercings.

That just wouldn't settle good in the Winchester house.

Dean started to take off, but before he could the punk boy grabbed his arm. "So, Winchester," he started, "care to skip and go get a coffee?" He grinned again, the same wicked grin. Dean nervously chewed his bottom lip. He'd never once stepped out of line and he wouldn't start now. "No, no thank you." He stammered. Castiel frowned and shook his head. "Shame. Pretty face like yours going to waste." He let go of Dean's arm. But Dean didn't move. He memorised all of the boys features. His perfect collar bones, his jaw bones, his messy sex hair, his pale skin, and his ocean blue eyes. He trailed his eyes up and down his body.

Castiel must have noticed because he stepped even closer to Dean. Did this boy not know personal space? "You like what you see?" Castiel winked. Dean only nodded slightly, blushing and looking away. "You a queer?" Dean blushed more. "Because, if so, you're hella cute." Dean felt as if he'd explode. "Ever kissed anyone Winchester?" Dean exploded.
