Episode 7: The State of Pure Enjoyment and Sheer Pain

Loud music boomed throughout the house. The only light that was able to beam into the house was the light coming through the curtains. Wherever she looked, something in her vision would swirl and become distorted. It was barely 8 AM, but the time didn't exactly stop her.

When she heard knocking on the door, she thought it was just the bass from the music hitting the sides of her head, just more aching.

She walked around the house, tripping on the empty bottle she dropped on the floor. She quickly collected herself.

Waking up and getting drunk had consequences, yeah, but side effects became so much cooler.

She nonchalantly ignored the knocking.

Each step felt like trying to walk on the sand with your shoes on. Difficult, at the very least. She leaned on the wall, relying on it to help her walk around.

She then rounded the corner.

~~~~
"DAISY?!"
"Is she sleeping?"
"No, I can hear the music in the house."
Peach huffed as she leaned on the front door, Rosalina awkwardly standing next to her. Peach started to look around for a spare key hidden somewhere. Rosalina put her ear against the door, trying to hear whats going on. She heard several thuds.
"Found it!" Peach exclaimed, holding the small key in her hands like Simba. Rosalina sighed in relief.
"Okay, let's see how crazy she's gettin-"
Suddenly, a loud scream broke out from inside the house.
The two girls looked at each other in a panic, Peach scrambling to get up, quickly unlocking the door with her shaky hand.
The door swung open, Peach running inside, Rosalina not too far behind her.
"DAISY?!?!"
Peach ran around the house, looking in every room.
Rosalina checked the hallway upstairs. Within the sheer panic, the hallway seemed so much longer than it should've. Rosalina rounded the corner.
"PEACH?!"
Peach ran to her.
When she found her, she found Rosalina frantically trying to get Daisy to snap out of an episode. She had no clue what had happened to her. She wasn't hurt, but she was clearly hyperventilating and holding her chest. She twitched and shook under Rosalina's unsure hand.
"I-I don't know what happened, sh-she was just on the floor-"
"Let me have her. Rose, just call someone, please."
Peach lowered down next to Daisy. Peach watched as her best friend slowly started to lose herself. The blonde could also smell the strong scent of whiskey from Daisy's quick-paced breaths.
~~~

Roy ran through the hospital, looking around for Daisy's room.

When the ER came, the girls were told that her panic attack became more severe. The only words Daisy was barely able to say was,

'I-It hurts..! My chest hurts..!'

'I can't breathe..!'

And when Roy heard about it, it was Marth who had to drive both of them. Roy couldn't be trusted to drive in his panic mode. hence last summer when he crashed him, Daisy, AND Pit on the side of the road just outside the town late at night.
