Toothbrush glanced across the messy counter at toothpaste. Her glossy, crumpled up tube was enough to drive him insane with desire and longing. She looked so perfect, laying there peacefully. Oh, how he longed to touch his delicate bristles to her slender plastic body once more.
A noise interrupted his dream-like haze. "Oh," the voice beckoned. "Toothbrush!" It was toothpaste, calling out to him from across the counter!
"What is it, my love?" Toothbrush asked, his metaphorical eyes filling with joy at the sound of his true love speaking to him.
"I simply cannot wait for our... special time." Toothpaste giggled with delight.
"Me, neither," Toothbrush replied with a sigh. It was quite a shame that the human who brushed her teeth with him never sat him next to Toothpaste when she was done with them. He longed to cuddle close to that plastic tube with all of his heart. But alas, he spent his nights alone, on the other side of the counter, with no way of reaching her. Toothbrushes don't have arms or legs, after all.
Suddenly, the door to the bathroom opened, and a tall figure walked in. She was wearing a Batman pajama shirt and shorts with little fishes on them.
"Time to brush my teeth," the human said groggily.
Toothbrush felt his plastic body flood with anticipation and excitement. Toothpaste let out a gleeful squeal. This was their favorite time of every day. Their... special time.
The human picked up Toothbrush and Toothpaste, who could hardly contain themselves. Carefully, the human untwisted Toothpaste's cap. Toothpaste felt an intense pleasure fill her body as the human squeezed her contents onto Toothbrush.
Toothbrush moaned in delight as Toothpaste's contents oozed between his bristles, filling the deep crevices. Toothbrush and Toothpaste worked together as a team now, swirling around and around in delicate circles, gently tracing each tooth. They couldn't have been happier. They were together again.
Finally, after their wild escapade, Toothbrush unfortunately had to be rinse off Toothpaste's contents. But he wasn't too sad, because he knew that they would do this again tomorrow, and every day for the rest of eternity.
Normally, this was the part where the human would throw Toothpaste across the counter and set Toothbrush down gently. Tonight was different than most nights though. The human set them both down next to each other. Toothbrush sighed in contentment as he fell asleep next to his love. "Enjoy it while it lasts," the human whispered.
The next morning, the human walked back into the bathroom. "Aw, shoot," the human said. "Looks like I was too tired last night to realize that I'm all out of toothpaste!"
This woke up Toothbrush and Toothpaste. "What- what's going on?" Toothpaste asked Toothbrush.
"I dunno, honey," Toothbrush responded. Suddenly, the human snatched Toothpaste away from her love and threw her into the trash can.
"TOOTHPASTE!" Toothbrush screamed, his heart racing.
"TOOTHBRUSH! Help! I'm scared!" Toothpaste sobbed.
"Don't worry, Toothpaste, I'm gonna save you!" He shouted. He wasn't sure how, but he wasn't going to let Toothpaste die.
But it was too late. The human picked up the trash can and said "Might as well take out the trash while I'm at it."
Toothbrush couldn't move. As much as he wanted to fight the laws of physics just to save his love, he couldn't. He was frozen. Glued to the spot. He just layed there, forced to endure the muffled sobs of his lover as she was carried away from him to some unknown world of death.
"TOOTHBRUSH!!! DON'T LET HER TAKE ME, DON'T LET HER TAKE ME!!!" Toothpaste sobbed. Why wasn't he saving her? Did he not love her?
"I LOVE YOU!!!" Toothbrush screamed through his own sobs as Toothpaste was carried out the door. "I... love you..." he whispered, defeated. And that was the last time he ever saw her.
