"I'm not ready" she slowly spoke, making me sigh, letting my head hit our hands.
"I'm sorry" she whispered after a moment.
"You have no reason to be sorry" I assured her quietly.
"Come here" I spoke, immediately standing to pull her into a hug.
She held me back tightly, her head resting into my shoulder.
As we hugged the door opened- revealing Blake and Griffin
"Time is up already?" I asked them.
"We came in about ten minutes early to ask you for a absolutely huge favor" Griffin spoke as we pulled away from the hug.
I raised my eyebrows to tell them to speak.
"So before we were even considering adopting we bought a cruise to celebrate our one year anniversary" Griffin continued.
"Which is next week" Blake mumbled out.
"We were wondering if you could possibly watch Mila for us, because you're really the one person that she trusts along with ourselves, we'll leave her money and everything of course, we just don't want her home alone, you could even come stay at our house if that's what you want-" "that would be no problem at all, she can stay at our house, we have a guest room and everything- but if she's more comfortable at your house, we can do that too" I spoke, looking to Mila, who was rocking back and forth on her heels lightly.
"Thank you so much, we'll drop her off Friday night when we're leaving" Blake nodded slowly.
"That's fine- or she can just stay from her appointment on- either way it'll work"
I agreed to this without asking any of my roommates.
"That's awesome, thank you" Blake spoke again, shaking my hand which i returned politely
"I guess I will see you Wednesday" I spoke to Mila, seeing a smile on her face.
"See you then"
As soon as they left I texted in our groupchat
Remember the shy Mila patient I told you guys about?
I immediately got several different responses consisting of "Yeah, why?"
She's spending the week at our house next week as long as she's comfortable, guardians are going on a cruise.
I threw my phone into my drawer, not wanting to see any texts back yet.
I was kinda excited
More of an opportunity to get closer to her
I can see how she acts to things in a home setting, which should tell me more about her home life.
I just pray that I'll get some actual answers
