He immediately almost tackled me into a hug, which I didn't run from.I put my head into his neck, and I held him back.
"I would've never told them if I would've known it would hurt you this bad, you all just signed consent forms and I was legally required." He spoke to me.
"I know." I spoke, never letting him go.
"Luke, Mila is missing again-" I heard Ashton's voice stop as he entered.
"We're good" Luke spoke, still not letting me go, but I completely didn't mind.
"Call Chloe and tell her we're adopting." Luke spoke, making me pull away to look to him.
"Fostering" I corrected him.
"No" he spoke quickly, tucking hair behind my ear.
"Adopting."
Didn't seem as if I had much of a say in that decision.
Ashton left Luke and I, making Luke immediately sit in his desk chair, holding my hand as he looked to me.
"You have been through hell, your eyes are blistered, you've lost weight, talk to me princess." He exhaled slowly.
"I don't want a life without you" I mumbled to him.
"The whole time I was hurt and I jumped to conclusions really fast and then I was selfish and I ended up hurting you-" "stop." Luke spoke firmly.
"First off, you were not selfish. I hurt your feelings and you had the right to be hurt, to be mad, I broke your trust." He spoke slowly.
"Secondly, no one blamed you for jumping to conclusions. You went through hell as a kid, which traumatized you, no one judged you for yelling at me, no one judged you for anything because everyone in my office knew from the second they sedated you that we fucked up." Luke spoke.
"I can't go back to living the way I was before your therapy." She spoke.
"You don't have to go back to that. I know you felt as if that was your only resort, but no. Now you have me and I'm not going anywhere for a really long time." He spoke to me.
"Please don't."
