Even before dawn, Kalima had already enquired the manservants on Mat's whereabouts, as hours passed and he hadn't shown up.
"For the sake of Gods! Is my little crazy man lost in his wanderings throughout the wilderness?"
When she was about to get ready to go to his rescue, Mat appeared. Snorting and dirty, Mat got into the lodge:
"Before all the answers, I will sit down to relieve my tired legs" appealed Mat.
The old cook was also around and gazed deeply.
"Finally, man! What happened and where were until now, late night?" Kalima tamed him.
A tiny span more and Mat responded:
"I fell when I was walking next to the stones - began explaining exalted -In the evening, I went for a walk on to the rim up to the top of the cliffs. A beautiful place. There, I watched the dusk. I was already in my return when I slipped down the gorge and almost sank right into the mortal stones. Suddenly I fainted. A few hours later, I woke up and took my way back. Lucky enough was I that nothing grievous happened to me" finalized.
Kalima gazed him in the eyes and softly nodded, pretending to believe in that incident. The old woman who would also listen to Mat's story the saying went to the kitchen:
"Such a peculiar story this yours, right Mat?" outraged yelled Kalima "Go to the lavatory and wait for me there" commanded.
Looking down, Mat made his way straight to the shower. He was muddy up to the hair.
Phew, what a life is it? thought Mat. Such great superhuman adventure he had lived. He was exhausted, but intimately, victorious. Kalima got to the bathroom and started to disrobe Mat, who was sloppy to her touch:
"What's that?" asked Kalima.
"Nothing. I'm... I'm really tired" responded Mat.
She undressed him and put him in the tub, beginning his bath. His body was totally marked as if he had been bitten by an animal. She observed that quietly, not asking anything else.
"All set! Stand up, Doctor Badlands! The next time, take a lot of care with your walking in the Woods, right?"
They went upstairs and slept readily.
