That summer has proven itself hotter than usual. Mat and Kalima enjoyed the sunny days by the river, by the waterfall and walking past the sea in their long walks on the beach. However, Fall and the pilgrim light rain have finally come. Mat on his bed was thinking about his previous encounter with the Tree, a week ago. Comprehending all that magic and confusing scenery was still difficult for him. The fear of the Isle came slowly out of his core, leaving room for mysteries and adventures. The warmth of hidden depths now warmed his soul. Time was running fast and thus he should begin to reflect about settling in the Isle or return to the continent. His degree should also have merit there, he thought.

"Kalima, my love. I shall tell you about my decision: I want to stay here on the Isle with you. I should find the best place to put into work my years of medical studies. Where could we start?"

"My Dr. Salans, I am glad about your decision, I also want you to stay here. I believe the village would need your specialties."

The day after, they left into the village. With more than 600 inhabiting families, that fishing center grew until molding into a future Village.

In the nearby blocks by the central square, bazaars, general commercial stores, small factories and a modest medical center were set into place. It was not an actual hospital itself, but its structure should meet the necessities of the local fisherman population.

When Kalima described the situation and informed him of a young doctor who graduated in the Capital and lived there, right by the village, the hospital manager did not think twice:

"I am so grateful! Your presence here is commendable, young doctor! We would love to count on your medical skills here as soon as possible" with a large smile, the small blue-eyed chubby middle-age sir, greeted Mat. He also had a beard that would constantly comb with his hands."

"Nice to meet you, sir. I am Johann Marcein! I am considered the manager of this modest little local hospital."

"The pleasure is mine, Mr. Marcein. I hope I meet the local expectations and demands."

"Do not worry, young man, I believe for sure the expectations will be met. See, young Mat, I've been here in this village for almost nine years...I also come from the capital and settled here after meeting this far away paradise. We are six doctors to assess all the population in the 18-mile radius. It is a lot of work for only twelve hands in the department, but luckily we were able to train a few local youths who would aid us as nurses."

"However, your arrival is providential. Come, let me present you our spaces."

And this way Mat started his job in the faraway village in the Great Isle of North. Certainly, it was not the place he would imagine to be his first office after graduating from medical school, but with Kalima and that plethora of adventures in the neighborhood, there could not be a better outcome. Kalima was also always very happy with Mat's trail. Would they be surely bonded to each other, she thought.

Let the wind blow, the river flow, and the sea speak, prosed Kalima in her subconscious. What will be, shall be. Men cannot run away from their Karma as well, reflected at last.
