Kalima had just left the next village when Mat came in. The servant was already informed and conducted him to Kalima's bedroom. They went upstairs and put down the luggage. The servant left. He sensed Kalima's smell all over the bedroom. He missed the girl.
He lied down on the bed and heard it creak. Despite the long trip, he felt willing:
"I'm gonna visit the dark icy ocean! I've missed everyone!"
He got down to the stiff-sand beach. His feet being brushed by the mixture of sand and gravel. Mat looked into the deep Ocean and thought about the Greek legends about Poseidon and Triton. Father and Son Sea lords. Maybe they were there observing the mortals and their adventures through their lives. Their dramas and biggest fears might not be less than serials in gods' lives, used to read these stories during the imperishable time of their existence. Bliss and pain of these beings would be nothing but the eternal flow of waves that die over the beach. In this continuous flow of born and death of the sea waves, the life of men and women would be engraved; their achievements, tragedies, and journeys.
The strong wind coming from the sea took his body bringing the stories from late afternoon. That place was one of the nameless creatures, he thought. He spent some more time on the beach and got back.
The evening had already started when the cook served him the dinner. Kalima hadn't arrived yet. The dinner was a stew made with a delicious fish from that region. His energies were fully restored after that tasty dish.
The old woman asked if he needed something else. He thanked her and praised the food. She pretended that she would leave but held herself back. Then looked into Mat's eyes as if trying to figure out his misadventures. He disconcerted and fixed his gaze on the table. She withdrew and Mat got to his room.
He was tired. He ought to lay down and sleep. He woke up with the candlestick light brought by Kalima. He smiled and they embraced each other. That was love between the young couple. Without further ado, Kalima got undressed and surrender to him. Even tired from the day's trip, she was thirsty of Mat. They loved each other and the bed creaked. She howled while they energy merged.
                              He was finally home.
The next day, the sun was showing up slowly, among the clouds. But it was mild; just spying, letting only a few beams flow out.
They woke up late and soon at the end of the morning they were loving each other again. They don't have gotten tired. Everything made sense. They were happy and the future was greeting.
After lunchtime, they got downstairs and ended up the fish stew. They had the hungry of warriors that had just got back of battle.
They talked a lot about everything. Mat told her about his graduation and what he should be able to do from now on. Kalima was impressed with the young physician.
He looked more like a man now, she thought. On the other hand, that place wasn't the best choice to run a practice of medicine, she patched up himself. It didn't matter. What was worthen was that moment and things would follow their lives' flow.
They spent the day wandering by the long beach near the Inn. She knew more inhospitable places than Mat. Walking way ahead, they got on the end of the sand and the beginning of a mount of stones. The Ocean was hitting hard the stones in a beautiful show of Nature's force.
Bypassing the rocks into a narrow way, they got in a small opening created by rocks. With almost fifteen feet of diameter, it was like a natural pool protected by the stone wall. The sound of the hitting sea came, but that place seemed to be sleeping on the waves.

Even with the cold seawater, into that little pool, the water was warm, constantly warmed by the sun. They walked into the pool and devoured each other again. That flame inhabited within their bodies and that would never end, they felt. The evening was coming. They left the new love's hideout.
