To The Future

Chaper 6

Winter wondered why Scarlett was yelling and pointing at the ceiling. There was nothing there but butterflies, wasn't there?

"Ashes, ashes we all fall down," Winter sang, releasing Scarlett's hands and falling to the ground. Scarlett stayed as she was, still pointing and jumping at the ceiling. Winter frowned. Was Scarlett going crazy too?

"I'm here!" Scarlett yelled. Winter stood back up and took her hands, skipping around again. Scarlett refused to play with her, though, and that upset Winter. She thought everyone loved to play, but apparently not Scarlett. Scarlett was yelling again and Winter let her do whatever she liked, running away from the cracks appearing on the ground.

Suddenly, Winter saw it. It just magically appeared in the ceiling. It was the bottom of a ship! Winter excitedly ran over, making sure to step inbetween the cracks. She stood next to Scarlett and tried to touch the ship.

"Wolf! It's me! Help!" Winter jumped, her fingers brushing the underside of the ship.

"Touched it! I win," she announced, nodding her head enthusiastically. Scarlett ignored her and carried on with her yelling. A hole appeared in the bottom of the ship, and a man dropped out. Winter vaguely recognised him.

"Hello," she greeted, smiling. He ignored her as well, running over to Scarlett and hugging her fiercely. Scarlett hugged him back and Winter fell silent, watching the light that came out of the hole.

"Let's go," the man said, pulling at Scarlett's hand. Scarlett's gaze fell on Winter and she said, "Can we bring her along?" Winter snapped out of her trace, seeing the blood flooding the cell.

"No! It'd never flood here," she panicked, quicly climbing onto Scarlett's back. Scarlett tried to shake her off, but Winter stayed glued to her back. The man shook his head, then climbed up a ladder that fell from the hole. Scarlett followed him and Winter crawled off her back halfway up, climbing up herself.

"Oh, a treehouse!" She cheered, clapping her hands together. This would be fun!!!!!
