Chapter 3: Gift from Ben

Heidi's POV

I am wake up the next morning feeling a little better but not by much. The morning flies by as I get signed up for classes and get everything ready for the start of school year. It is mid afternoon and I currently sitting in my dorm room that I share with Ella as Shay, Jordan, Ally, Carly, and Ella herself are all in the room talking to one another when the subject that I am wanting to avoid at all costs finally comes up. "Heidi, you never did tell us what happened between Harry and you."Shay says as everyone turns their eyes on me because all the girls are wondering that same thing. "I am not sure what to make of everything that happened, and I still am trying to piece together everything." I say sitting down on my bed staring at the wedding ring on my finger.

"When was the last time you saw him?" Carly asks placing her hand over my and covering up my ring and bringing me back to reality. "Last time I was Harry was when I caught him with Uma, and let me tell you that if I didn't catch him I know for a fact that those two would have had sex right there on the docks."All the girls look from one another unsure if they could believe that Harry would do something like that but that image is and will forever be burnt into my mind. "Heidi, maybe Harry is under some kind of spell or something." Jordan says but by the tone in her voice I can tell that she doesn't believe that anymore than I do. "Magic doesn't work under the barrier, if Harry was spelled then the spell would have left them the moment he step foot onto the Isle.

I close my eyes for a second getting my emotions under control before my powers fully take over, "I don't want to talk about Harry anymore right now, we should be talking about the big announcement from Ben and Mal that is taking place today in front of all of Auradon." I smile at the girls who get all excited and start talking to one another about the announcement just might be. "No knows for sure, but of course everyone has their own theory about the announcement."Ally says in her usual calm tone of voice. "I think it has something to do with the barrier and the Isle." Shay says filing her nails making sure they are nice and sharp. "I think someone had kicked the bucket." Jordan comments in her normal morbid type way which always seem to surprise me given to the fact that her father was the complete opposite. "I think a handsome prince or a beautiful princess is finally on its way." Carly says with so much hope in her voice that I think she is going to burst from the inside out. "I think they are going to announce the new royal court." Ella says which to me makes me wonder on why Mal and Ben haven't done that yet, most Kings and Queens have their court picked out before the crown is on their head but since we are talking about Ben and Mal I know that nothing is normal when it comes to them.

"Speaking of those two, anyone else shocked to see Aubrey back on campus?" All the girls nod their heads with the same unsure look on why it has taken Aubrey this long to come back to Auradon. "I heard from Yzla that Audrey is no longer the Princess of Auroria, it would seem that Prince Aaron has fallen in love and plans on popping the question to the girl in the very near future." Shay informs us as we all look at one another all thinking of who this girl might be. "Who is she?" Carly asks scooting closer to Shay, "All I know is that they started out a pen pals and over time they fell in love with each other." This makes me think of the important event I missed while I trapped on the isle. "I can't believe that I missed that VK Day on the Isle, who are the lucky kids that are coming to Auradon Prep?" Ally sighs because Ally feels that it is kind of her fault for letting Hayden cause as much destruction that she did, but I told Ally that none of this is her fault I just hope that she believe me.

"Evie picked Gigi Gothel, the daughter of Mother Gothel." Ally says with a small smile on her face. "Carlos picked Squeaky, one of the twin sons of Mr. Smee."Carly says and I can tell that she is happy about that because that means she will have little ones to take care of. "Jay picked Squirmy, the other twin son of Mr. Smee." Ella says and I must say that Ella has become almost as good as Arabella when it comes to being an ambassador for Auradon and Auradon Prep. "I picked Gabriella, the daughter of Gaston." The reason I picked Gabriella is because growing up she was almost the outcast of the Gaston family, she never felt like she belonged in that family, and of course growing up with three brothers must have been hell for her. "Hadie picked Quaid, the son of Queen of Hearts." Jordan says but I can tell that poor Ally is scared out of her mind after her encounter with Quinn. "Don't worry Ally, Quaid is nothing like Quinn,as a matter of fact people on the isle say that Quaid is mix between Gil and Harry." I laugh which gets Ally to smile and that makes me happier to know that my best friend isn't as worried as she was before. "Lastly, Mal picked Celia Facilier, who is the daughter of Dr. Facilier." Shay says and counting Ben letting Chet off the Isle that makes 7 new villain kids in Auradon.

Out of the corner of my eye I see a present sitting in the corner of my room. "What is that?" I point to the present making all the girls look over at to see that I am pointing at. "That is for you Heidi from Ben, he had them made special just for you." Carly says in a sappy tone of voice. I walk over to the present gently picking it up and placing on the bed. "I wonder what it could be?" I say looking at all the girls before unwrapping the box and opening it. Nestled inside the box are two baton type things. "What are these?" I say unsure as I pull out the batons and show the girls. "They are energy batons, they can manipulate your fire ability into the batons themselves." I look at Ella before looking back at the batons in my hand. "You're telling me that instead of fireballs the fire will come out of these?" Ella nods her head excited as she look at them. "It can help you use fire in battle a lot easier than trying to form a fireball all the time, and they connect making a staff." I smile at the batons as I twirl them around getting a feel for them. "I think I can get use to these, might take a little bit since I am used to us swords and fireballs,but they have potential." I say connecting them into the staff and placing against my wall.

"We should all get going, we only a little while until the announcement, but we will catch up with you girls afterwards." Ella and I nod our heads as the girls get up and leave so that Ella and I can get ready.
